Staying Alive in Biden’s America

Our country is in trouble. Or, as Donald Trump put it recently, “Our country is dying.” It’s fair to say that not a single act of Joe Biden’s presidency can be labeled as constitutional, because he wasn’t constitutionally elected in the first place. Since Biden and his tribe came to power, we Americans have witnessed a steep decline in the quality of living, as surely as the cost of it has skyrocketed.

Take, for instance, Mr. Average American. His blood pressure soars to dramatic levels every time he scrolls through the morning news. Muttering “Thanks, Joe” has become a daily ritual. On the way to the office, he grimaces at the amount of money he has to fork out for gas. From what his wife tells him of her recent trip to the grocery store, he doesn’t like the sound of food prices, either. He’s also grumpy over the fact that he had to cut short the family vacation because, well, inflation is a word everyone should understand. Opening the mailbox to find it bulging with excessive bills makes him want to scream. Everyone has to live, doesn’t he? This is too much for Mr. Average American, and the way he feels will be very apparent in the next election.

There is no spoonful of sugar in all this sour-tasting medicine. The Democrats like to appear as if they can snap their fingers to clean up the nursery, but the magic is gone. As assuredly as 1940s Americans grumbled Don’t you know there’s a war on? our line in the 2020s is Don’t you know Joe’s in the White House? Thus life in Biden’s America.

On the last presidential inauguration day, Republicans felt as if the world had come to an end as they listened to the swearing-in of Biden. Fast-forward a bit, and we’ve forgotten that feeling of horror; it has dulled into tolerance. This sort of tolerance is a dangerous thing.

But why? Why are we tolerating Joe Biden?

It helps some to beat our heads in frustration, tear out our hair, and call the Democrats all sorts of names. Most of us stop there. Unfortunately, if that’s all we do, we are failing our country. One thing that can be said for the Democrats is that they are always busy. Republicans have gotten lethargic, rousing only when there’s an urgent call to action. Well, now the bugle has been blown. The spotlight is on Republicans in Congress; it is our duty to rally behind them. It is time for us to stop rubbing our eyes and WAKE UP.

Thankfully, the Democrats are finally getting the message that their man in the White House won’t be taken by We the People any longer. To their eternal embarrassment, Biden’s rise to the presidency has transformed him into the country’s mainstay clown. He is the national joke. True, we are content to bide our time with Joe a little longer, but only because we have the 2024 election. For once, here is something the Democrats can’t postpone or delay or pigeonhole or ignore. Election day has to happen, blow hot or cold.

We must vote. A good turnout speaks louder than words by showing the Democrats we mean business. We should vote in every election, small or large, local or national, primary or not. Here you are saying, Does it really matter? If someone tries to tell you that your vote no longer makes a difference, don’t you believe it. When you do, you will also believe America is a lost cause. The people who sit at home on election day, sighing that “it’s all over” and “no use” don’t deserve the privilege of voting. Here’s the thing we’ve overlooked: Though our votes count, they can no longer stand on their own. After all, that little pen mark on your paper ballot isn’t worth an inflated dime if it isn’t backed up by something. You see, when the ballot goes into the ballot box, it doesn’t stop there. (The Democrats want it to stop there, of course.) We need to keep a closer eye on our representatives. We must urge our family and friends to stay informed on the political issues. We need to discuss those issues, and act on those issues by contacting our people in Congress. And remember, the necessary ingredient in the success of our nation has always been faith in God, and much prayer.

Conservatives will have to work harder than they did in 2020. If it’s true that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, then we have seen the illustration of this saying in every passing year since 2020. Now, we’ve got to find the cure, while simultaneously applying the ounce of prevention before the 2024 election. We undeniably have our work cut out for us.

It is this author’s opinion that Joe Biden can’t successfully run for a second term. No matter who is awarded the key to the White House after the Big Race of 2024, that individual must be the people’s actual choice, a good leader, and one who will build up, instead of tear down, this nation.

The United States is the last beacon of freedom in this world. We cannot let that beacon dim more than it already has. Even more imperatively, we dare not let it be snuffed out for good.
