NGO “Feeding Our Future” Fraud Case Prosecuted

Contact Your Elected Officials

In my article of yesterday I promised to follow up with a story that explains the intricacies of prosecuting the fraud cases yet to come because of the findings of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The case in this story is not related to DOGE as it began back in 2021 before DOGE.

A very interesting court case is being prosecuted in Minnesota and is seemingly being kept quiet by the mainstream news media nationally probably because it involved another incident of systematic organized criminality with an NGO. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson joined Liz Collin on a recent episode of Alpha News where he recapped the multiple years-long investigation offered what is to come next in the dozens of cases that still remain, and the potential political implications still to come.

Some of the most interesting things Thompson offered in the interview were as follows:

The FBI began investigating a massive fraud scheme carried out by Aimee Bock director of Feeding Our Future in Minnesota back in January of 2021.

By January of 2022 the fake meal sites they operated were shut down and their offices were raided by the fraud and public corruption section of the District of Minnesota.

Thompson offered they got a tip that was relatively vague about potential issues with this Federal child nutrition program fund. A FBI forensic accountant came to Thompson and said “Joe you should look at this.”

The two met and what she showed Thompson were just massive amounts of money flowing into it out of dozens of shell companies in Minnesota, ultimately hundreds.

Very quickly his office realized they had a massive case on their hands and a huge fraud was being perpetrated on the people of Minnesota and America.

Some 200 federal agents participated in raids across Minnesota with some70 people ultimately being indicted. They have over 60 trial days set and ongoing.

Thompson added, “As if the initial allegations, you know, aren’t shocking enough you have this juror bribe that takes place during the first trial. $120,000 in cash left in a bag in exchange for an acquittal and this is the first time the Department of Justice actually charges a jury bribery case in decades. It was a wild day. We learned that the bribe attempt was made on a Sunday night. Closing arguments had started on Friday because there were seven defendants. They were picked, scheduled, to resume on Monday morning. That morning I got a call saying the night before a juror had called the police after someone showed up at her door with $120,000 in cash asking her to return a not-guilty verdict.”

Thompson also has a bribery investigation ongoing now because of this brazen attempt to rob Americans of justice in the court.

Thus far about $60 million of the $250 million has been recovered from the fraud. That money was recovered from a combination of bank accounts, seized real estate, vehicles, and even some real estate from abroad in Kenya and Turkey. Thompson has hopes of recovering more.

Of the 70 defendants charged thus far:

  • 38 – have plead guilty
  • 7 – were convicted at trial
  • 1 – passed away causes unrelated to the case
  • 4 – remain as fugitives outside the United States
  • 20 – are awaiting trial

Feeding Our Future Director Aimee Bock attempted a defense mounting allegations of racism and filed a lawsuit accusing the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and its employees of discriminating against Feeding Our Future and the sites under its sponsorship on the basis of their race and ethnicity (people of color and Somali community) but that failed.

Thompson concluded, “I’m hopeful that Feeding Our Future won’t be the end of the story. We won’t view this as, oh it’s just a one-off, you know, during a crisis during a pandemic. But it’s really showing us we need to do better and that we can do better and that as a state we take it more seriously from here.”

CONCLUSION:

The Minneapolis City Council created this NGO non-profit to feed children in poverty which is a good and noble cause. The problem is, due to a lack of proper financial oversight and management, it became a money laundering operation for people who cared little about feeding children and more about lining their own pockets. Sure, some money went to feed hungery Minnesota children living in poverty but most of it did not.

The important lesson to be learned here is to look at the big picture as to what happened, what allowed it to happen, and concrete plan to stop it from ever happening again.

This story was personal to me as at the time these Somalians were brought to Minnesota in 1995 I was attending a Lutheran Church that helped enable them to come here. Boy, were we ever sold a bill of goods!

We were told they were fed up with the death and destruction of Somalia and Islam and they were looking to come to America to live new lives as Christian Americans. Rep. Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D) was one of these new immigrants and most of them are just like her. They failed to assimilate to our ways and basically remain devout Muslims who hate America and what to take us over in time.

In my opinion, all of those who have failed to assimilate to our American ways given this amount of passage of time of the last 35 years should be sent back home to Somalia.

All those who engage in a scam like the one reported above should be deported with no hope of every returning. Why should we welcome these people and give them aid and assistance only to have them stab us in the back and then become more of a financial drain to us in incarceration? Send them packing for good!

The old adage comes to mind, “You give them an inch, and they take a mile.”

I report this story for three very important reasons to the times we are living:

  • This story highlights Gov. Tim Walz (D) incompetence as Minnesota Governor since it happened on his watch.
  • This story highlights the outstanding law enforcement work that still does go on in some parts of America.
  • This story educates us on how Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have much work to do before perpetrators can be perp walked into court.

I want to conclude this with another shout out to journalist Liz Collin for this interview with Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson. It is my understanding both are proud Minnesota locals so while I may still hate the Vikings (as a Bears fan) I respect and admire the both of you!

Some who read this are going to want to ask if this was USAID NGO money that was involved in this fraud. I could not clearly determine this but I am guessing it was.

What this story again teaches us is this… both Donald Trump’s companies and Elon Musk’s companies have to be held accountable in yearly forensic audits. The waste, fraud, and abuse going on in Washington, D.C. prove our government MUST also be held to this same practice!
