Daniel Mercuri was born on July 30th, 1976. He is a Southern California native and a resident of Ventura County. He is a third-generation American-born citizen on his father’s side. His paternal great-grandmother came to the U.S. during WWII from the island of Sicily. Daniel is a second-generation American-born citizen on his mother’s side. His maternal grandparents became U.S. citizens after migrating to America from Mexico
Daniel Mercuri is a former Congressional Candidate of CA 25th District 2019-2020 Special Election, former CA Gubernatorial Candidate of the 2021 Recall and 2022 CA Prime and has now made his declaration for the 2026 gubernatorial election.
After years of campaigning and attending forums, debates, radio and speaking engagements, Daniel experienced a level of corporate, union, and Super PAC favoritism, threats, demonization, and the undermining of legal contributions coming in the form of promising riches. He realized that the allure of political temptation is so elaborate and fomenting that he understands now why representatives eventually turn their backs on the people.
However, Daniel never gave in…even when he was trolled and threatened. Armed with his understanding of the political arena, he’s more than ready to fight for the survival of his state.
Daniel is a United States Naval Veteran, former HS-4 Black Knight. Daniel also comes from a generation of men who have served in the United States Armed Forces, stemming from his grandfather, to his father and his uncle, to his older brother and himself. He enlisted and served active duty between 1998 to 2003, and completed his Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR) time in 2006. He performed his duties as an Aircrew Search and Rescue (SAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and a Rescue Swimmer. He dedicated his life to serving his country and was honorably discharged.
After his term of military obligation, he returned home and attended school in early 2003 and obtained degrees in Film and Television as well as Speech and Communication. During his education, Daniel began to work in the entertainment industry. Between 2004 and 2005, Daniel struggled to find full-time or even part-time work and experienced negative bias towards veterans.
Between 2006 to current, Daniel eventually worked his way into the ‘Direct to Consumer’ marketing and advertising industry and later became a Technical Producer, Post-Production Producer, on-set Producer / Writer and a Digital Social Media Advertising Marketing Professional with some of the biggest companies in the country.
Daniel is also a real-estate investment student. During his congressional campaign he reached out to the real-estate investment community about providing affordable housing and homes to the homeless, especially with those who are eager to provide homes for struggling veterans and their families.
In 2016 – 2024, Daniel co-founded his second LLC and was voted in as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for his private investment group that focused on commodities and digital crypto currencies. Daniel has spent over six years researching and understanding the science behind digital currency technology and how it could have a hand in safeguarding private individual assets and government security.
Daniel is a dedicated husband and father. He has been married to his wife, Melissa for over 14 years. Melissa is a college graduate and currently a level IV NICU Nurse, providing the highest level of neonatal care in Southern California. They currently have three children. Carver, Braedyn, and Tinsley.
Daniel is also a published political / religious author. His book, “Lucifer Zenith, Corrupting Nature’s God Through Government Deception” (published in 2024) is based upon Daniel’s first-hand experience with government depravity and discovery about where corrupt government hides and operates, why the people’s redress of grievances is falling on deaf ears, and how it all ties into the Bible and biblical prophecies. Daniel has freely given out over a thousand free copies to anyone who is willing to know the truth and learn just how deep the villainy goes. Though Daniel has a passion for political and religious veracity, he and his wife have also co-written and illustrated a children’s book.
Daniel has been a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner over the last 18 years. He is also a volunteer amateur boxing and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) instructor and a Brazilian JiuJitsu coach for kids, all new comers, young athletes, military, police officers, and privat security guards who are looking to harness their fighting and self-defense skills.
Daniel has traveled the state of California listening to the people’s grievances. Most believe our current government fooled the people into giving up their rights for a blown out of proportion plandemic. Now that the genie is out of the bottle, the biggest question people have is: “How do we get our rights back?” Daniel’s response: “The truth of the matter is, your rights were never gone to begin with. This is the fight!”
Daniel has grown tired of hearing the blatant lies, the bold-face allegations, and the circus act that is never ending in Sacramento and on Capitol Hill from both parties. Every day, propaganda runs wild through our mainstream media (MSM) and big tech silencing is crushing the conservative voice for not going along with the false narrative being pumped out by the Deep State. Everyone is pointing the finger, but no one is taking the blame. Daniel is no longer going to hold back and has been putting together an amazing team to help get his campaign off and running. He has thrown all political correctness out the door and speaks the honest truth. His race towards governor is not a selfish one, but is first and foremost to be a true representative and servant of the people with strength, integrity, and honesty and to fill a void where empty promises and lies are a thing of the past.

Since 2019, his political experience running for office has led Daniel to become a strong Constitutionalist. His knowledge of both the Federal and CA State Constitutions is unparalleled. He now realizes that our current corrupt government has engaged in such villainy, that the word ‘treason’ does not paint a clear enough picture to their ominous acts. Daniel believes it is time to imprison the degenerates who have turned their backs on those they swore to protect. He knows it’s time to “Starve the Government, Feed the People,” and to fight the good fight.
In the end, Daniel’s primary focus towards the governorship is to restore what belong to the people and he knows Californian’s are ready in … “Returning California to a Golden State of Mind.”
