The Looming Threat To Our Homeland

5Mind. The Meme Platform

After the successful completion of โ€œOperation Midnight Hammer,โ€ in which 125 U.S. military aircraft bombed three Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities, the threat to our homeland has never been greater.

President Donald Trump only authorized Americaโ€™s first military attack on Iran after repeated diplomatic efforts failed to convince their government to end their nuclear weapons program. Trump called the operation a โ€œspectacular military successโ€ which โ€œcompletely obliteratedโ€ the three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites.

In the area of national security, Trump has great latitude and, as Commander-in-Chief, he can use military resources to respond to imminent threats, such as the Iranian nuclear weapons program. Unfortunately, his ability to implement changes involving homeland security has proved to be much more limited.

Every move the President makes is challenged in court by leftwing Democrats who do not want to protect our homeland from recognized threats. This is the political party that delivered open borders during the administration of President Joe Biden. According to Vice President J.D. Vance, Biden allowed approximately 20 million illegal immigrants to enter the country during his disastrous term in office.

Illegal immigration was already a severe problem before the start of the Biden administration. In 2018, a Yale University study discovered 22.1 million illegal immigrants living in America. This is why Trump was so determined to build a wall and close the southern border. He made tremendous progress during his first term using creative methods to fund the border wall that Congress refused to authorize.

Unfortunately, all of Trumpโ€™s progress was halted when Biden took office and a genuine problem turned into a five-alarm fire for the nation. Biden stopped construction of the border wall and allowed illegal immigrants from more than 160 countries to enter the country.

With the new Trump administration, the border has been effectively closed once again. In May, the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) apprehended only 8,725 illegal aliens in the Southwest region, an astounding 93% decrease from the previous year.

Nationwide, there was a decrease of 88% of โ€œborder encountersโ€ from the last year of the Biden administration. Even more remarkable, last month zero illegal aliens were released into the country by USBP.

With the influx of new illegal immigrants almost completely halted, attention must turn to deportation. In this area, there is much room for improvement.

On a positive note, some illegal aliens are leaving on their own, or self-deporting. A study cited by the Wall Street Journal estimated that our countryโ€™s โ€œimmigrant populationโ€ declined by 773,000 in the first few months of the new Trump administration. These may be individuals worried about being arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and leaving on their own.

Surprisingly, their worries may be unfounded. In the first 100 days of the second Trump administration, ICE removed only 65,682 illegal aliens, or 656 per day. At this rate, less than one million illegal aliens will be deported from the country during Trumpโ€™s second term.

Much more aggressive action is needed, especially with the threat of Iranian sleeper cells in the country. According to U.S. โ€œBorder Czarโ€ Tom Homan, during the Biden administration, 1,272 โ€œIranian nationalsโ€ were released into our nation.

This statistic leads to some disturbing questions. How many of these individuals are terrorists? Overall, how many jihadists are currently living in the United States?

In an interview on the Fox News program, Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Homan said his โ€œbiggest concernโ€ were the โ€œtwo million known got-awaysโ€ who โ€œcrossed that borderโ€ during the Biden administration. Shockingly, Homan said the United States does not โ€œknow who they are, where they came from, because they got away because (the) border patrol was so overwhelmed.โ€

Homan believes Bidenโ€™s open border created โ€œthe biggest national security vulnerability this country has ever seen.โ€ In the last administration, Homan says USBP found โ€œprayer matsโ€ along with โ€œidentification from people from Iran.โ€ Unfortunately, Homan says โ€œwe know some terrorists have crossed that border.โ€

After the attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities and continued resistance from their radical Islamic leadership to engage in diplomacy, the threat to our homeland is significant.

According to Iranโ€™s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, the United States will suffer โ€œeverlasting consequencesโ€ for the attack on the three nuclear enrichment facilities. Along with attacking U.S. forces in the Middle East, Iran could activate any of their โ€œsleeper cellsโ€ which may be operating in our country.

Therefore, it is essential that the effort to deport illegal aliens be intensified. There is a precedent for a successful deportation campaign.

In the 1950โ€™s, President Dwight Eisenhower authorized โ€œOperation Wetbackโ€ that removed 1.3 million illegal aliens from the country. However, Eisenhower did not face the roadblocks impeding President Trump, such as activist judges, a plethora of lawsuits from leftwing organizations or oppositional media.

Trump faces a multitude of challenges no other President has encountered. In the first five months of his second term, there were 300 active legal cases involving the Trump administration, including โ€œ17 suits where judges granted summary judgment or a permanent injunction.โ€

This lawfare is unprecedented and it aimed at stopping the Presidentโ€™s agenda, thwarting the will of the voters, and negating the results of the 2024 election. Trump won the popular vote and an electoral vote landslide for his โ€œMake America Great Againโ€ (MAGA) agenda, which includes removing illegal aliens from America.

The lawfare roadblocks are not only disturbing and damaging to our political system, but they are also putting American lives at risk. The President is being impeded from deporting dangerous criminals and potential terrorists from our country.

Democrats, the media, and activist groups are supporting criminal illegal aliens and maintaining they have constitutional โ€œrightsโ€ to remain. Nationwide protests, including violent ones, have been occurring, driven by opposition to the Presidentโ€™s agenda, especially the efforts of ICE to deport criminal illegal aliens.

Terrorist groups will take advantage of this ill-advised opposition to activate their โ€œsleeper cellsโ€ throughout the nation, giving them more time to plot attacks against innocent Americans.
