Kamala Harris isn’t going away. The queen of gibberish and grammar-slayer is full of new ideas that she hopes will put her in the White House in 2028. Harris is off to college, the Electoral College of course.
On a recent evening, Harris delivered remarks during an emergency virtual meeting hosted by Win with Black Women, a group of Black women leaders and organizers.
The emergency, as it always is for Leftists, is about not getting their way.
Harris’ comments came as the online mob whined about the Supreme Court’s April 29 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais which declared racial gerrymandering to be unconstitutional.
The decision limits the ability of states to use race as a determining factor in creating election districts. By extension, the decision also means states with such racially gerrymandered districts may correct congressional maps that were formed under unconstitutional priorities or preferences.
Harris knows why the Court rendered this awful decision and what evil lurks in their hearts, “What they are doing is they are back-dooring racism behind politics to get to this decision and to justify what is happening in particular right now in all the southern states, and this is obviously a time for us to fight.”
Of course, it’s racism. Racism is used to justify the formation of congressional districts to benefit one ethnicity, but it is racist to undo it for the purposes of ensuring these very same districts serve all voters, not just some. Racism is as racism does.
“And in that no bad ideas brainstorm, we talk about what we need to do and think about doing around the Electoral College. We talk about the idea of Supreme Court reform, which includes expanding the Supreme Court,” and she continued, “We invite a conversation about multi-members districts…let’s talk about statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.”
Harris claims this is a “no bad ideas brainstorm” and then vomits a storm of bad ideas.
Electoral college abolition comes first. The brilliance of our Founding Fathers in constructing a model that safeguards the rights of smaller states via a proportional electors’ body is to Harris anathema.
Ending the Electoral College is the frontline of structural changes meant to create a Liberal majority without obtaining a majority of states’ voters. In her mind, and that of Progressives everywhere, the wants and desires of profligate spenders and moral relativists in California, New York and other blue states should decide for all who occupies the White House.
“Supreme Court reform” for Harris and her rapt listeners is more justices, specifically a court packed with Lefties. She is not proposing a court full of Clarence Thomas’ but rather one full of Ketanji Jackson-Browns. A court of partisan preference not constitutional adherence. Outcomes, not wise or deliberate adjudication, are wanted and that can’t be obtained from an independent court of varied ideological and intellectual members.
Statehood for Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. is the same broken record. The Left doesn’t need new ideas or policies; they just need more Democrats.
The former VP takes aim at red states, knowing how unjust and tyrannical they’ve become. She said now is the time to “fight fire with fire,” arguing, “We’ve got to neutralize these red states from cheating, including blue states expanding their maps.”
She isn’t concerned about red states “cheating”, she’s worried that the better ideas employed as policy in those states are winning. Blue states “expanding their maps” means efforts, such as those in Virginia, to add Democrat seats. These new seats are once again meant to deliver only one outcome: more Democrats in office. If their ideas won’t persuade the electorate then re-districting manipulation will.
A party that doesn’t play by the rules can’t be constrained, but she was careful to add, “We are never going to violate the law or do anything unethical or immoral, but we need to be ruthless too.” She said with a smirk, knowing each listener was keenly aware of the hypocrisy of the statement. The only truthful part was how “ruthless” they are willing to be.
Every suggestion made by Harris exposes how bereft of thought her party has become. Every solution wasn’t about intellect, common sense, or critical thinking, but rather about gaming a system to produce a Democrat majority. Unable to persuade by force of argument they are left in the Liberal mad science lab to cook up kooky recipes for fundamental government, structural and electoral changes to get what they want, power.
Harris’ rise to power is the epitome of the Peter Principle. Her relative incompetence put her within a heartbeat of the presidency. We are very fortunate that President Biden’s heart was stronger than his mind.
It is unclear who Democrats will offer in 2028 as their presidential standard bearer, but as their standards couldn’t be any lower, don’t bet against Harris just yet.
If it is Harris, it’s off to college, the Electoral College that is.
