ABC: Amazingly Biased Correspondents

5Mind. The Meme Platform

Thankfully, in recent years, Americans have been leaving the three legacy broadcast networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, and finding their news on other outlets.

Fortunately, with the advent of the Internet, Americans have other sources for credible information and do not have to rely on the broadcast networks, which produce news programs littered with liberal propaganda.

There is voluminous evidence of liberal bias on every broadcast network. A recent example was provided by the Media Research Center, which examined the news programs of the three broadcast networks during the first one hundred days of President Donald Trumpโ€™s second term.

Not surprisingly, the three networks provided their viewers with 92% negative coverage of the Trump administration.

In 2017, in the aftermath of President Trumpโ€™s inauguration, the Media Research Center discovered that the broadcast networks produced coverage that was 89% negative during โ€œthe first weeks of his first term.โ€ Thus, the networks are becoming even more biased and out of touch with most of the American people, who delivered a popular vote victory for Trump in the 2024 election.

During his first one hundred days, the broadcast networks focused on several of President Trumpโ€™s policy initiatives, especially reciprocal tariffs, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Of course, the coverage of the tariffs was 93% negative, while the reporting on DOGE was an astounding 97% negative.

These results contrast sharply with the 59% positive coverage the networks delivered for President Joe Biden during his first 100 days in office.

Despite Bidenโ€™s horrific economic policies, such as the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which delivered skyrocketing inflation and interest rates, the broadcast networks were downright buoyant, providing 86% positive coverage of this legislation.

With such one-sided coverage, most Republicans, Independents, and fair-minded Americans have departed the broadcast networks. Unfortunately, the broadcast networks still generate 19.3 million viewers for their news programs. These viewers may be liberal and prefer bias, or older, with limited access to other news sources. Either way, the networks are doing a severe injustice to their viewing audience.

Sadly, ABC, the most liberal broadcast network, is the one with the largest audience. Their evening news program, World News Tonight, hosted by David Muir, generates an audience of 8.13 million viewers, larger than their competitors at NBC, 6.6 million viewers, or CBS, 4.59 million viewers.

Trump supporters should remember David Muir, as one of the moderators of the only 2024 presidential debate between the GOP and Democratic nominees. Muir and his ABC co-host, Linsey Davis, spent the entire debate helping former Vice President Kamala Harris and interrupting and โ€œcorrectingโ€ President Trump.

The President called the debate โ€œunfair,โ€ โ€œrigged,โ€ and โ€œthree on one.โ€ He believed it was so corrupt that the broadcast โ€œlicenseโ€ for ABC should be revoked.

ABC News also employs George Stephanopoulos, a former โ€œSenior Advisorโ€ and campaign staffer for President Bill Clinton. Stephanopoulos, co-anchors Good Morning America weekdays and is the host of the Sunday news program This Week.

Last December, ABCโ€™s parent company, Disney, settled a defamation lawsuit filed by President Trump. Stephanopoulos incorrectly accused Trump of being โ€œfound liable for rape.โ€ This was a false charge by the former Clinton operative. Thus, Disney agreed to pay $1 million for Trumpโ€™s legal fees and $15 million for his future presidential library foundation.

After their disastrous debate performance and their defamation settlement, it would have been wise for ABC News to attempt objective journalism for a change. Unfortunately, there has been more of the same from this biased network in the first few months of the second Trump administration.

To mark his first one hundred days, Trump agreed to an interview with ABC Senior National Correspondent Terry Moran. As expected, Moran spent the entire interview antagonizing the President and attempting to play โ€œgotchaโ€ journalism.

In the interview, Trump claimed that he did not โ€œtrustโ€ Moran and that he was doing a โ€œdisserviceโ€ to his audience. Trump said the antics of Moran and other โ€œfake newsโ€ journalists is why Americans โ€œno longer believe the news.โ€

Obviously, after the smackdown, Moran harbored bitterness toward the President and his administration. The hatred was exposed over the weekend when he went on a diatribe on social media.

Moran blasted both President Trump and his Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller in his post. He said, โ€œThe thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpismโ€ฆItโ€™s bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. Heโ€™s a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishmentโ€ฆTrump is a world-class hater. But his hatredโ€ฆhis own glorification.โ€

This is nothing new for Moran. According to Breitbart News, in 2021, Moran referred to President Trump as a โ€œCaesarโ€ and a โ€œFuhrerโ€ in his leadership of the Republican Party.

In response to Moranโ€™s latest tirade, Vice President J.D. Vance defended Miller by posting, โ€œI know Stephen quite well. And heโ€™s motivated by love of countryโ€ฆItโ€™s why he fought so hard to get President Trump elected and why he works (so) hard to implement the agenda. ABC should apologize to Stephen. What Terry posted is disgraceful.โ€

Also, Miller fired back at Moran by posting, โ€œThe most important fact about Terryโ€™s full public meltdown is what it shows about the corporate press in America. For decades, the privileged anchors and reporters narrating and gatekeeping our society have been radicals adopting a journalistโ€™s pose. Terry pulled off his mask.โ€

Well said sir. The legacy broadcast networks and the entire corrupt mainstream news media are now exposed. This is one of the best features of President Trump. He has been so effective in fighting the Deep State and the leftwing media that their response has been unhinged, reeking of โ€œTrump Derangement Syndrome.โ€

To salvage the semblance of journalistic integrity, ABC News announced that Moran was โ€œsuspended pending further evaluation.โ€ However, it is not just Moran that ABC News should evaluate, but their entire biased network.
