An Easter Basket of Deplorables

5Mind. The Meme Platform

Easter is a time for compassion, tolerance, and hope.

The Easter Bunny, being a fantastical creature, is incapable of these traits. Democrats, on the other hand, espouse but do not practice them.

One is an imaginary being cavorting around giving away goodies and freebies, hiding the truth of their motivations, all at someone else’s expense and the other is a make-believe rabbit.

This Sunday, millions of people all over the world will celebrate Easter. Easter is the greatest of all Christian holidays and one in which Jesus’ ascension to heaven is available to everyone through His sacrifice on the cross.

For some, they ignore the reality of Easter’s origin and profound meaning, replacing it with a bunny who weirdly delivers candy and eggs. To them the redemptive love of Christ and his victory over death is exchanged for secular intellect and avoidance of conscience.

Democrats are the quintessential believers in the fictitious and thus cling to the make-believe. The alternative, a clear-eyed view of the issues and challenges facing this country, obscured by a demon of their own making.

Donald Trump is the president focused on achieving his agenda while Democrats see him as some kind of deranged beast. At a time in which sincere self-reflection should lead them to calm waters and sober thinking, instead they fling rhetorical poo in all directions like a band of mindless monkeys.

Democrats’ insanity extends to every issue.

Should boys be prevented from competing with girls in girls’ sports? Democrats say No!

Should violent foreigners who entered the US illegally be deported? Democrats say No!

Should waste and fraud be exposed and eliminated in American government? Democrats say No!

By contrast the American public, those that Democrats purport to represent, say by a wide margin YES to the above.

Trump so crazes liberals they continue to defend pronoun pandemonium, toe the line for gender bending, and protect entrenched corrupt government spending.

Who supports sending $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam? You guessed it, Democrats.

Trump has become their version of the giant rabbit in the movie ‘Harvey’. They see him everywhere and everything he does is tantamount to the apocalypse.

How Democrats perceive Trump and how they respond to him is the stuff of straitjackets and long-term therapy.

Appoint Elon Musk to a post intended to save money and the country and the Left responds by attacking Teslas, many of them owned by Democrats. As of today, Democrats are with very few exceptions mute on this violence and by virtue of their silence, encourage it.

Hateful anti-Semitic terrorist sympathizers take over US college campuses to intimidate Jewish students. These mindless lemmings regurgitate Hamas propaganda while assaulting staff and destroying property. Do any of these elicit a contrary word from the party of Kennedy? Nope.

They are truly mad, both as in insane and angry.

For those rational few Democrats that remain, people whose party left them behind for progressive pandering and leftist lunacy, there is another option. There is a place where their values and the country’s best interests intersect.

This holiday they are welcome to jump into our Easter basket of common sense “deplorables”. We may not be any more sane, but we’re a happy and ambitious bunch. There’s room for everyone.

Easter is a time for hope and healing. A time to aspire to our better selves, to reflect on the greatest act of love and sacrifice the world has ever known. To be, at least for this day one people under one God.

I offer everyone the sincerest wishes for the happiest of Easters. Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative, gay, strait, or transgender all offered the same grace and purpose to love and be loved.

You may not want the best wishes of a conservative columnist, but I extend it, nonetheless.

It beats counting on a mythical mammal to hide eggs and with them the happiness we all deserve.
