Biden Modifies Title IX to Include the Gender Confused

The Joe Biden administration took it upon itself to modify Title IX protections in our education system this past Friday to include โ€œsexual orientationโ€ and โ€œgender identity.โ€ Since this move lacks logic and common sense it should be viewed for what it is, another blatant attempt to unravel the fabric of American society.

Title IX was written into law in 1972 to prohibit discrimination based on sex (gender) in any public school or university that receives federal funding. It was widely accepted as females were treated as less than males in high school and college sports. In 2022 the Biden administration unveiled a revised version that would extend prohibitions against โ€œgender identity.โ€

At a House hearing on Capitol Hill earlier this month Maryland Republican Rep. Andy Harris pressed Education Secretary Miguel Cardona with a pretty softball question he refused to answer:

โ€œMr. Secretary, do you agree that biological women are different from biological men physically?โ€ Harris asked. โ€œThis is a simple question for an educator. Youโ€™re not going to answer. Okay.โ€

‘An Affront To Women In This Country’

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) representing over 240 universities announced it adopted a position whereby only biological females can play in womenโ€™s sports. Lawmakers noted this at the House Appropriations Committee budget hearing. Cardona refused to discuss this NAIA policy. Instead he said his department was currently engaged in related rulemaking on Title IX. Yesterday we learned what he had his kind have been up to and why he refused to acknowledge the biological differences between males and females.

The administrationโ€™s new Title IX rule (https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/docs/t9-unofficial-final-rule-2024.pdf) is set to take effect on August 1, 2024, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).

Almost 25 states have enacted legislation restricting transgender athletes from female sports to counter Bidenโ€™s thrust at the Federal level. Earlier this month Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers (D) vetoed a bill that would bar biological men from competing in womenโ€™s sports weeks after it passed the state Senate. Wisconsin Republicans have a supermajority in the Senate and are two seats short of a supermajority in the Assembly. Rumors are they may attempt to override Eversโ€™ veto when enough Democrats are absent.

Also, some 16 female athletes are currently suing the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) over its policy allowing biologically male athletes to compete against females. The lawsuit stems from the January 2022 ruling by the NCAA Board of Governors allowing transgender athletes to compete in female sports. The NCAA said their new ruling “preserves opportunity for transgender student-athletes while balancing fairness, inclusion and safety for all who compete.”

But when University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines and University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, a transgender, tied for 5th in the 200 Freestyle finals at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in 2022, this issue got put on blast. Most Americans were outraged as was Gaines.

Since graduating Riley Gaines has made a number of public appearances and become an activist to return fairness to womenโ€™s sports by excluding biological males. She can be found at https://rileygainescenter.org/. She has been protested and even physically assaulted by transgender activists confronting her at her speaking engagements.

Gaines began speaking out nearly a year ago about the fairness issue of women having to compete against biological men wanting to identify as women for purposes of an athletic edge in sports.

One NCAA male athlete from the University of Pennsylvania spoke out against Thomas on the condition of anonymity in an article of Sport Bible relative to Will Thomas now swimming as Lia Thomas.

“Lia was not even close to being competitive as a man in the 50 and the 100 (freestyle events). But just because Lia is biologically a man, (Lia) is just naturally better than many females in the 50 and the 100 or anything that (Lia) wasn’t good at as a man.โ€

CONCLUSION:

I was raised that bad people are most notable as they lie, cheat, and steal. I was raised in the church where I was taught that when all of these attributes become acceptable and go uncontested by society, all hell will break loose. The last time this happened was The Great Depression of 1929 bringing an end to a period known as The Roaring 20โ€™s. The Roaring 20โ€™s were known for attributes such as decadence, consumerism, and liberalism. This included such things as illegal bootleg booze during prohibition, scantily clad women dancing provocatively (flappers), and the advent of latex condoms for carefree sexual relations.

As I have grown older in retirement it has been a sincere pleasure to watch biological women compete in sports. Two examples have been the Florida State University softball girls, since my daughter went to school there, and the University of Iowa basketball player Caitlin Clark, since I once dated a Hawkeye girl back in my bachelor days.

Pretending men are women, and pretending men pretending to be women can compete fairly against real biological women, is outrageous. The way to stop this insanity instantly is for women athletes competing in the NCAA for college scholarships to simply quit. This will bring that part of the NCAA to its knees.

Some of these jobs offer free educations with companies who sponsor them. Many are now in the realm of โ€œ6 figuresโ€.
