Davidson Introduces FIRED Act

Today, Ohio Representative Warren Davidson introduced the FIRED (Fauci Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal) Act, which sets a twelve-year term limit for appointees serving in the capacity of the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

This position is currently held by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has served in his position since 1984.

In the wake of massive missteps by Dr. Fauci and his subordinates in the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, this bill addresses an oft-overlooked issue: the lack of accountability for unelected bureaucrats.

Under Dr. Fauci’s guidance, Americans have lost confidence in the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, leading to confusion and serious government overreach that has threatened Americans’ livelihoods and freedoms. Despite successful treatment therapies, a historic vaccination development, and decreasing cases, Dr. Fauci has continued to advise healthy, low-risk Americans to continue to act as if the pandemic were out of control—after overseeing nearly a year of draconian public health policies that have decimated the U.S. economy.

After introducing the bill, Rep. Davidson made the following statement:

“Dr. Fauci represents everything that President Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address: the scientific-technical elite steering the country toward their own ends. Americans have had decades of Dr. Fauci’s leadership, and he publicly failed to respond appropriately to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is time for him to step aside so that new leadership can ‘follow the science’ and start reopening America.”

Republicans call for Dr Fauci to be fired or resign after umpteen U-turns on COVID and its origins

Dr. Anthony Fauci now tries to DEFEND giving $600K to Wuhan lab to study how viruses can transmit from bats to humans before the COVID outbreak.

House Rep. Warren Davidson called for firing of Dr. Anthony Fauci Davidson, a Republican from Ohio, introduced the ‘FIRED Act’ FIRED stands for ‘Fauci Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal’. Republicans have blasted Fauci over mask guidance, origins of coronavirus and more. Fauci, on Tuesday, appeared before a Congressional budget committee. He defended the spending of $600,000 on the Wuhan laboratory. Scientists now believe it is possible that COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan lab. Fauci said the money, to be spent over five years, was ‘modest’. He denied again that the cash was spent on ‘gain of function’ research. The controversial experiments make viruses more deadly or transmissible. On May 11, 2021 Fauci and Rand Paul sparred over how the U.S. funding was spent. Fauci insisted it was not spent on ‘gain of function’; Paul said it was. Trump on Tuesday reacted as people begin to see the truth that COVID came from a ‘lab leak’
