Fighting the Idiocracy

The US has a long history of fighting evil to preserve liberty and an instinctual aversion to stupidity, but while we defend the former, we all too often embrace the latter.

During our fight for independence, we opposed the British to overthrow an aristocracy to found a democracy. During the Civil War we fought against a confederacy that sought to preserve the perverse institution of slavery. During WW II we allied ourselves with nations against the forces of Hitler’s autocracy.

Despite our country’s noble efforts to defend freedom and liberty across the globe we find ourselves once more defending democracy, but this time weโ€™re up against idiocracy. Democrats and the Progressive Left are the very definition of government of, by, and for idiots.

During Trump’s address to a joint session of congress they shook canes and signs at Trump all the while waving goodbye to sanity and civility.

Whether they’re flying to El Salvador to demand the return of a human trafficker and wife beater, assaulting ICE agents in an attempt to enter a detention facility full of more domestic abusers and human smugglers, or singing tone-deaf protest songs in an off-key manner, the Left has become a collection of fruits and nuts not seen since the last Harry & David catalog.

Gavin Newsome continues his effort to rehabilitate his image while continuing his debilitating policies in California. Jasmine Crockett says whatever is on her mind, without regard for coherency or courtesy. Like a camel crossing the desert, the ideas crossing Crockett’s mind are thirsty and bleak.

Illinois governor, JB Pritzker, travels the country far and wide offering his singular brand of Trump derangement syndrome. His tirades leave some of his listeners hungry for more, but without any actual nourishment. He bloviates for a few minutes and then jets off in search of the next buffet.

Kamala Harris, she who would make millions if she were to endorse a salad dressing, remains the Democrat’s prohibitive presidential favorite. This is despite lacking any ability to string together more than four words without knitting a straitjacket.

Independent Senator Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Occasio Cortez fly across the country in a $15,000 an hour private jet to “fight the oligarchy”. Sanders justifies the exhaust from his mouth and the airplane by saying he can’t be bothered to “stand in lines” at airports like the rest of us.

An oligarchy is a government in which a small group exercises control, especially for corrupt and selfish purposes. In a democratic republic, one in which there are national elections every two years, where exactly is the oligarchy?

As with all the fevered nightmares of Democrats the oligarchy resides in only one place, in their minds. Sanders and AOC are waging a battle, not against a corrupt government, but rather against the truth. Sanders and AOC are Socialists and neither opposes government being in the hands of a few unless those few disagree with them.

In 2028 Bernie Sanders will be eighty-eight and is more likely to be seated at a bingo table than the Oval Office’s Resolute Desk. AOC, 33 today, will have reached an age in 2028 that makes her eligible for our nation’s highest office, but she is more likely to be serving watered down drinks in swanky bars than serving as president.

This is the state of the Democratsโ€™ idiocracy.

They oppose common sense at every turn.

They are for illegal criminal aliens. They are for open borders. They are for waste and fraud in government spending. They are for war in Ukraine. They are for terrorist-loving college lemmings pillaging campuses. They are for redundancy and inefficiency in the federal workforce. They are for boys dominating girls in sports. They are for diversity, equity, and inclusion if it doesn’t include people with whom they disagree.

What are they against? The American people.

Democrat’s allegiance to hate and stupidity is a prison cell. Shackled by an irrational hatred for Trump they are chained to failed ideas and broken promises.

The key to their freedom is a return to both moderation and common sense. Unfortunately, there isnโ€™t a single Democrat who possesses either quality.

If and until their sanity returns, the idiocracy will reign supreme amongst the Left.
