The heartbreaking tragedy still unfolding in Texas after historic floods should be cause for unity. A time for all Americans to stand together in support and prayer to re-build the communities and lives of those affected. To mourn the lost and aid the grieving.
Inevitably, the political class as represented by the dead of heart and mind Democrats, are instead flooding the airwaves with lies. They care not for the loss of life or the incomprehensible suffering of families who’ve lost everything. They care only for themselves and how a catastrophe can be weaponized.
Within hours of the natural disaster those suffering from the devastation in Texas and the nation were further victimized by Democrats. Compounding insult to injury we were subjected to thoughtless, insensitive, power-hungry finger-pointing by America’s party of dissent and dissipation.
Eric Swallwell D-CA, he of abounding love, if not for China then at least their women, said on CNN, โI do think, as lawmakers, we have a responsibility, though, to look at, “Did cuts affect the ability for folks on the ground, and at the camp, to have an earlier, better warning?”
Swalwell attacks the Trump administrations as his first, reflexive, response. With no evidence, and with no concern for the dead and dying, he seeks to win political points. Swalwell, whose mind is well, small, thinks we’ll swallow his nonsense and lies.
Chuck Schumer D-NY couldn’t pass the opportunity to play the game and once again proved he was the leading lizard amongst these reptiles. On the senate floor Schumer first offered flowery words of faux sympathy to flood victims before baring his fangs stating, “So, yesterday, I asked for an investigation into what role, if any, the administrationโs staff cuts to local National Weather Service stations played in preparedness and response to the Texas tragedy.
Jasmine Crockett D-TX chimed in as well. In a video she posted she provided the perfunctory pleasantries, “my heart is truly heavy for all these families.” She went on to use the occasion for her standard putrid palaver, “The sad part is I think that my heart is going to carry a level of weight that will continue to weigh me down as we have to continue to do our best to survive an administration that literally is against us.”
As if this were not bad enough, Crockett ended the video by pivoting from harrowing disaster to her new hairstyle. She remarked, “My staff said yโall are commenting about my BOB!” Self-absorbed to the very end. She turned the topic back to the only thing she really cares about herself.
Former New York City Mayor and Democrat Presidential candidate, otherwise known as the โDope from Park Slopeโ Michael Bloomberg, chimed in his two cents worth, saying the floods in Texas “were made worse by climate denialism.โ At two cents we still overpaid.
Will Bunch, a national opinion columnist at the Philadelphia Inquirer, opined “so many more lives would have been saved if leaders dropped climate denial and believed in government for the public good.” Will we ever be free of this bunch that is bananas?
World Weather Attribution, a climate group, told Axios that due to its confidence that climate change was the cause of the deadly flooding it would not study the natural disaster to better understand its causes. Lack of study is the same way it came to its conclusion about climate change in the first place.
These dim bulbs grabbed a moment of national of gut-wrenching sadness and converted it to political theater by the darkness of their thinking and even inkier desire for power. None of them could be restrained by the gravity of the situation to concentrate on the suffering and what succor, if any, they could offer.
Using a disastrous and deadly flood as pretext for political point scoring reveals even more how deeply flawed, lost, and immoral the Democrat party, Legacy media, and the Left have become. They are drowning in their own dreck, choking on a hatred that sticks in their throats.
A torrent of water followed by a flood of lies.
Albert Schweitzer said, “The tragedy of life is what dies inside a man while he lives.”
In this awful moment of loss Democrats once more show that what’s died within them are the true virtues of compassion and sympathy. They use these words, but their actions prove they’ve become devoid of meaning. While they may yet live, something important and fundamental has died inside them.
We should share, regardless of politics, our humanity. We should mourn our dead together and together share the obligation of helping the living.
The Left has lost its humanity and that’s as real a tragedy as the flooding.
