More Proof Conservatives Good, Liberals Bad

Sometimes there are events in history that occur like a magnifying glass in the sun on an ant hill. There is a bright light shining on a situation, it gets hot, and then things in holes get burned.

A lot of people don’t know it but Taylor Swift got her first big break in the music business because of Toby Keith. The history of Swift and Keith goes back almost 20 years now to before Swift released her first album as a freshman at Hendersonville High School north of Nashville. Keith had Swift sign to his new Showdog Record label in the Music City to release her debut album. Taylor was only fifteen at that time. Keith was a partner with music executive Scott Borcheta. In 2006 Keith and Borcheta went their separate ways and Borchetta signed Swift to the Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) which would go on to sell millions of records for her.

Too bad she did not remain steadfast with Keith as her mentor. Fast forward to 2020 when Swift tangled with the Soros family.

Taylor Swift calls out Soros family’s ‘shameless greed’ in beef with record co.: Pop superstar draws criticism as white supremacists seen associating her post with widespread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Soros” – The Times of Israel

So, as the story goes, Swift recorded her first six albums with BMLG but then left that label to release her seventh album, titled “Lover” with Republic Records in August of 2019.  But in June BMLG sold the original masters to her songs to talent manager Scooter Braun. Swift believed she should have been given first opportunity to purchase her own masters and became a woman scorned.

“After I was denied the chance to purchase my music outright, my entire catalog was sold to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in a deal that I’m told was funded by the Soros family, 23 Capital and that Carlyle Group,” Swift said in December of 2019.

In 2020 that same scorned woman did a Netflix documentary “Miss Americana” that was largely pretty good until it offered a political segment of Swift going on the attack against President Donald Trump and Tennessee candidate for Senate Marsha Blackburn. Her opinions seemed to have no impact on the election but when she claimed to have Tennessee Christian values and slammed Blackburn as “Trump in a wig,” it had many Tennesseans and Republicans seeing red (and voting) red.

Loni Love on Instagram: “Resurfaced footage shows Taylor …

In the first place in that same video Swift proclaims, “The main thing that I always tried to be was a good girl.” But in 2020 she went on to attack President Trump during the George Floyd riots with a tweet, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? When the looting starts the shooting starts’???” Swift tweeted.

Again, real Christians don’t bear false witness against thy neighbor.

And maybe if Swift had taken a few college courses in American history she would have learned about the time the Democratic National Convention was to be held in Chicago in 1968 and violence and riots were threatened and expected. Democrat Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley posted a “shoot to kill” order for anybody trying to disrupt that DNC convention. But Swift wouldn’t know about that page in history not just because she wasn’t born yet, but because she has never been educated beyond high school.

So now the internet social media platforms are all abuzz dissing Taylor Swift for her lack of acknowledgement and respect for the man who gave her that all important first “big break” into Nashville, Toby Keith. Stupid liberals are saying it has to do with Swift’s endorsement of Joe Biden but many of the people pissed off are not political.

And Toby Keith, well, unlike Taylor Swift, he did not make his money off of bad time songs but seemingly more of simply good time songs. He once was quoted as saying, “Writing songs and looking for ideas is like blinking my eyes. It’s an involuntary muscle. I do it without thought.”

When Donald Trump was elected President in 2016, no artist would come to Washington, D.C. and play for him at his inauguration but for Toby Keith. But then again, no other artists could offer the patriotic songs most Americans want to hear either. Songs like;  American Child, American Ride, American Soldier, Country Faith America, Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue, Fly over States, Happy Birthday America, Letters From Home, Made in America, Now That’s What I Call the USA, Only In America, and The Taliban Song.

CONCLUSION:

If you hate Donald Trump because of the lies told about him, you are what is wrong with America. If you cave to public pressure just to get along and turn a buck, you are what is wrong with America. If you say you hate conservatives but cannot qualify or quantify that hatred, you are what is wrong with America.

I like to think the best of everyone but this episode with Taylor Swift has caused me to delete all of her music. I am boycotting her the same way I am boycotting every other “artist” who has gone political just to maintain the status quo for their careers. That herd mentality is cowardice.

Real Christians do things like stand up for right over wrong. They discern sin and call out liars. They expose hypocrisy and double standards implemented by those who seek to game the system and cause chaos and anarchy in trying to bring disorder to an otherwise civil society.

In 2023 Taylor Swift became the Time magazine person of the year having achieved a net worth of over 1 billion dollars. If she did that without Soros money, that is a worthy accomplishment and she earned it. I still won’t be her fan due to her politics but I will tip a hat to her. I just find the timeline of her life from 2019 to 2020 oddly suspicious. Most people who hate Soros also hate Biden and most of the rest of the Democrats.

And Toby Keith? Well, by many estimates he was said to be worth about a half a billion at his passing. But he had some things money can’t buy. He had a deep faith in his Creator, so much so he was not afraid to die. He had a deep love for his country and those who shared that love with him. He had courage to not just buck the system but tell the system to, “Go to hell!”, and he was a big enough and physical enough man of stature (6’-3” at 235 lbs.) nobody dared challenge him. Mostly, he was a family man and everything he accomplished of this world he did for them to make their lives better.

You got to love a conservative guy like that!
