There was some important news to break yesterday that seemingly has been shadow banned from the Internet thereafter.
In Tallahassee, Florida, the leading Democrat in the state Senate announced his departure from the Democratic Party saying he sees the party as dead in Florida. Jason Pizzo was the Florida Senate Minority Leader. Pizzo took to the Senate floor yesterday to announce his decision. Pizzo is now the third sitting Florida lawmaker to leave the Democratic Party in the last six months, following State Reps. Susan Valdes of Tampa and Hillary Cassel of Dania Beach, who became Republicans.
The Florida Republican party has made significant gains in traditionally Democratic areas like Miami-Dade county. Currently registered Republicans outnumber registered Democrats by over1.2 million voters.
His move indicates more proof of the turmoil going on in the Democratic Party today as it struggles to redefine itself. Pizzo criticized the radical partisanship as a mess and emphasized that he believes his constituents are craving practical leaders not, political hacks. Florida, once a key swing state in presidential elections, has increasingly voted for the Republicans.
If you want to know one of the many things wrong with the Democratic Party today, you need to look no further than the Florida Democratโs Party response to his departure.
Nikki Fried, chair of the Florida Democratic Party, quickly responded by slamming Pizzo as “one of the most ineffective and unpopular Democratic leaders in recent memory.”
“His resignation is one of the best things to happen to the party in years,โ she said in a statement. โHis legacy as leader includes continually disparaging the party base, starting fights with other members, and chasing his own personal ambitions at the expense of Democratic values.โ
โJasonโs failure to build support within our party for a gubernatorial run has led to this final embarrassing temper tantrum. Iโd be lying if I said Iโm sad to see him go, but I wish him the best of luck in the political wilderness heโs created for himself.โ
Bill Helmich, executive director of the Republican Party of Florida, posted on X, “3 elected @FlaDems have left their party this session so far. @NikkiFried and her allies have driven the Dem party into the ground! Who is next?”
Later, Senate Democrats elected Lori Berman of Boca Raton as their new leader. Berman will serve out the remainder of the 2024-26 term, and Sen. Tracie Davis of Jacksonville remains the Democratic Leader pro tempore, a caucus statement said.
“The caucus thanks former Leader Pizzo for his service,” it added.

This is a portion of Pizzoโs speech yesterday.
โGuys I’m excited for this. This makes me happy and clean and clear and here’s the issue the Democratic Party in Florida is dead. Good, but there are good people that can resuscitate it but they don’t want it to be me. That’s not convenient, it’s not cool. I’m not asking, I’m not having a Jerry McGuire moment right now like, โWho’s coming with me?!โ But that’s the truth, the party that my dad volunteered for in JFK when he was 18 years old in 1960, is not the party today. It craves and screams anarchy and then demands amnesty that’s not okay. I’ve always been criticized by the far left and by the far right. There’ll be a caucus meeting later this afternoon where I hope that the members of the Democratic caucus will elect a new leader for today. I FedExed my voter registration form to change my party affiliation to โNo Partyโ affiliation. Joe Scott should receive that by 8 a.m tomorrow morning in Broward County and here’s why.
Our constituents are craving practical leaders not political hacks we are entrusted to be guided by our conscience and while I suppose it’s easier in theory than it is in application even my worst detractors have no valid claim that I can be bullied, that I can be bought, or even borrowed, for a special interest amen. We need more of this God bless you and your family catch you on the next one.โ
CONCLUSION:
Some are saying this move came as a total shock to Florida Democrats. Others, like journalist Laura Loomer, say it was predictable as Pizzo is only switching sides to become an Independent because he wants to run for Governor of Florida.
No matter what your take is on this issue, to me, it shows professional politicians who want to remain in politics no longer want their brand identity to be affiliated with todayโs Democratic Party and I kind of respect that.
Some of the leading Democrat personalities who are jockeying for position to run for President in the Democratic Party are the most incompetent, ineffective, ignorant people on the planet. Names like Newsom, Pritzker, Walz, Whitmer, AOC, etc.

What is most disturbing, to me, is I wanted to see and read the entire speech of Pizzo and I could not find the transcript or the complete video ANYWHERE!
One reason for this might be a most interesting list of politicians who have switched parties while in office on Wikipedia. Guess what? The number of Democrats leaving the party for either the Republican Party or others is UNBELIEVABLE!
Some are saying the Democratic Party has become lost, Satanic, too radical, immoral, un-American, etc. Whatever your thoughts are, we can all agree they have a serious image problem when it comes to their future marketing.
You may remember, I tried to help them out 4 months agoโฆ
