It was unclear whether the protesters were employees of the farm.

About 200 suspected illegal immigrants and four U.S. citizens were arrested by immigration authorities on July 10 after immigration operations were conducted on two marijuana farms in Southern California.

Federal immigration authorities released the updated numbers on July 11, and announced that four U.S. citizens were arrested for โ€œassaulting or resisting officers.โ€

Glass House Farms, the licensed operators of both sites, confirmed that its sites were visited by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and were fully complying with the agent search warrants.

Federal agents found themselves faced with protesters at at least one of the sites. Aerial footage at the site showed protesters throwing projectiles at vehicles.

U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli said on July 10 that any protesters interfering with the raid would be charged.

โ€œFederal agents are executing a search warrant at this marijuana farm,โ€ he wrote on social media platform X. โ€œAgents have already arrested multiple individuals for impeding this operation and will continue to make arrests. Donโ€™t interfere. You will be arrested and charged with a federal offense.โ€

Essayli also said that one of the protesters appeared to fire a weapon at federal law enforcement, and offered a bounty on that unknown individual.

โ€œFBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo,โ€ Essayli wrote in a separate post. โ€œThe shooting occurred on 7/10/25 at approximately 2:26 pm on Laguna Rd between Wood Rd and Las Posas Rd.โ€

Gas canisters were deployed by federal authorities to disperse the crowd.

ICE agents were accompanied by members of the National Guard, an additional measure of security provided by the Trump administration.

It was unclear whether or not the protesters were employees of the farm.

One of the protesters, Judith Ramos, a 22-year-old certified nurse assistant, said she saw a busload of people being taken away, and had a deterrent sprayed in her eyes.
