We had a respite, well, at least it seemed that way as terrorism’s many concerns took a back seat to the ongoing invasion of our Southern border, Ukraine, Bidenonmics, among a surfeit of other issues. Then it surfaced again like a rogue submarine that was forgotten about.
To wit: October 7 became Israel’s 9/11, but on a much greater scale proving again that Islamic terrorism does not fade away; rather, it bides its time.
The West, and this includes Israel, refuses to grasp how the Islamists do not share what we consider universal values of life, freedom and the pursuit of peaceful co-existence that ultimately finds contentment and perhaps some happiness. Islamists want neither liberty, democracy nor serenity. The cult of death through the never-ending jihad against all infidels is not only creed but life itself.
That protest parade with their surplus of Palestinian flags as they crossed the grand Brooklyn Bridge only underscores how splintered and balkanized the United States is becoming.
New York City and in particular, Brooklyn, is home to the largest Jewish population this side of Israel, took it on the chin as all those of Jewish persuasion and their supporters were told by the NYPD to stay away. They did but will certainly come out for the Democrat ticket come Election Day, Nov. 7th with the exception of many in the orthodox Hassidic community who have never been intimidated to swim against the political current.
The same university students who demanded that the police be defunded sympathize and support the debauchery of Islamists who think nothing of the murder, rape, and decapitation of defenseless women and children. The left is immersed in barbarism that they perversely call protest. This is the poisoned harvest of a multi-generational effort by Marxist ideologues who dominate academia, the media and entertainment. Their manifesto of moral relativism permits such violence against all they oppose and where terrorists are considered righteous freedom fighters.
Islamic jihadists subjugate women and bullies the LGBTQ+ community, while Israel empowers women and welcomes all. Hamas did announce they are no longer throwing LGBTQ+ people off tall buildings, complaining there are no longer any tall buildings left.
Hamas hides weapons in hospitals, schools, and mosques while their operatives masquerade as innocent civilians. They have no issue with killing Palestinians as it produces international condemnation against Israel.
Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of a founding Hamas leader told a reporter after October 7: “I was born at the heart of Hamas leadership . . . and I know them very well. They don’t care for the Palestinian people.” He clarified: “Hamas is a religious movement with a goal to establish an Islamic state. Hamas does not serve the Palestinian people. Hamas serves Iran.”
Being half a world away, why should we concern ourselves with the unending wars of the Middle East where Israel, remains forever engaged with Islamists who provoke them?
Enter our porous Southern border. In September, Fox News reported 18 on the terrorist watch list were arrested – a record. A total of 169 have been arrested this year “exceeding not only fiscal year 2022’s record-setting total (98) but the last six fiscal years combined.” Those were just the known terrorists. The Daily Caller acquired an internal memo of the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection, which warned that members of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad are likely crossing the southern border.
The deodorant aisle at CVS has better security than our southern border.
“Texas is on the front line of the largest illegal alien invasion this country has ever seen,” according to Robert J. Bodisch, retired Sr. Deputy Director/Chief of Staff of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Bodisch explained, “Unvetted people are pouring over our border from 150 countries and being released into the country with a notice to appear eight to ten years from now. No doubt if one is a terrorist, they now have ample time and opportunity to plan and execute attacks.”
Biden’s open border is a welcomed invitation to unvetted Islamists who are the tinder waiting for a spark to wreak havoc against the Great Satan.
Ignoring this nonstop ringing alarm is no solution.
