Rand Paul Confronts Biden’s Education Secretary Pick on Transgender Agenda

February 5, 2021 ~ President Biden’s pick for Education Secretary, Miguel Cardona, answered questions about transgender student athletes during his confirmation hearing Wednesday—affirming that he supports a radical policy stripping protections from women and girls sports. Senator Rand Paul did not hold back his concerns about what these changes will mean for women and girls across the country.

Under the guise of protecting all children, President Biden created immediate controversy when he issued an executive order directing federal agencies to interpret existing anti-discrimination laws such that females no longer receive the umbrella of protection Title IX has long provided. That means women’s sports (along with their locker rooms) and other activities would henceforth be open to participation by males who “identify” as females.
