Present Danger China Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C.— On the eve of what is being billed as a major policy address about China policy tomorrow by Secretary of State Tony Blinken, a video has emerged reportedly documenting a top-secret planning session of senior Chinese Communist Party and military officials in China’s Guangdong Province. It  reveals that a directive has gone out from Beijing, presumably nationwide, ordering plans to be drawn up for the “Transition from Normal to War.” If legitimate, this warning is as close to a “red alert” about the CCP’s intentions and preparations to realize them as we in the West are likely ever to receive before the onset of hostilities.

Tomorrow from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET, the Committee on the Present Danger: China (CPDC) will host the next of its weekly webinars to address the question of whether Xi Jinping has, indeed, made the decision to go to war, with whom, and when. It will also consider the appropriateness of Secretary Blinken’s prescription for U.S. policy towards the CCP, what would be entailed in executing it and are we prepared to do so?

The webinar will feature remarks from three world-class experts who are founding members of the Committee: its chairman, Brian Kennedy; strategist and author J.R. “Jeff” Nyquist; and historian and author Dr. Bradley Thayer, PhD.
