President Donald Trump says the US military has killed Qasim al-Rimi, the leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. The affiliate has long been considered the global network’s most dangerous branch. It’s carried out attacks not only on the US mainland, but also in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Francis Collings reports.

But al-Rimi is still alive and is now taunting President Trump. NBC News senior legal and investigative correspondent Cynthia McFadden reports for TODAY.
