The “No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance” is scheduled to take place during President Donald Trump’s military parade to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday. This counter-event is being billed by Indivisible, a grassroots progressive movement.
This “Day of Defiance” is said to be composed of dozens of progressive grassroots organizations and unions, including the American Federation of Teachers and Planned Parenthood. They claim to be a pro-democracy and pro-worker movement.
They claim to be organizing over 1,800+ protests across the country to detract from the celebratory events to be held in Washington, D.C. on Saturday marking the Army’s 250th birthday and Flag Day, which coincides with President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.
To many thinking Americans, all of this begs two questions:
- How can you claim to be a “grassroots movement” when it is organized by some of the very same Non-government Organizations (NGOs) Elon Musk and his new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) just found fleecing our country of taxpayer dollars? A grassroots movement would be funded by the protesters themselves.
And:
- What exactly are we supposed to be defying on this day of defiance? Nobody believes Donald Trump is acting like a king and things are remarkably better today than just 4 months ago when he assumed the presidency. What, exactly, are we supposed to be upset about?
“Instead of allowing this military parade to be the center of gravity, activists will make action everywhere else the story of America that day,” according to a release from Indivisible.
Indivisible says activists nationwide “will come together for marches, rallies, and demonstrations to reject corrupt, authoritarian politics in the United States,” adding the protests will be modeled after “Hands Off!” and May Day demonstrations held prior.
The organizers are accusing President Donald Trump of holding this first time ever military parade to celebrate himself, comparing his actions to that of a king.
“Donald Trump wants tanks in the streets and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday,” according to No Kings. “A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington – it rises up everywhere else. June 14th is also the U.S. Army’s birthday – a day that marks when Americans first organized to stand up to a king. Trump isn’t honoring that legacy. He’s hijacking it to celebrate himself.”
Most thinking people realize that President Trump was coincidentally born on America’s Flag Day which also, coincidentally, is the birthday of the U.S. Army since its official establishment, June 14, 1775.
President Trump said in a promotional video of last week, “This parade salutes our soldiers’ remarkable strength and unbeatable spirit. You won’t want to miss it. I think it’s going to be better and bigger than any parade we’ve ever had in this country.”

The White House Communications Office says, “Attendees will experience 250 years of Army heritage through historical U.S. Army personnel reenactors, period-accurate equipment, vehicles, impressive flyovers, and military bands participating in the landmark event.”
CONCLUSION:
One of the key players in this protest movement is American Federation of Teachers (AFT) president 67 year old Randi Weingarten, a progressive liberal, lesbian, Jew.

I have told my story of how I am against and hate Weingarten and not because she is a progressive liberal, lesbian, Jew, either. I could do her job better than she does and I would not be looking for her power and salary, either. And unlike her, I would go to work for the students and teachers.
The fact of the matter is the education of American youth has gotten worse since her leadership which began 2008. Her leadership of one of the two most powerful teachers unions, as she gets paid around $500,000 a year, has been an abject failure by just about any metric you would care to use to measure her.
I retired from teaching in 2016 as a member of the AFT after Randi Weingarten endorsed Hillary Clinton for President without taking a vote of the rank and file membership of the union. I was a Trump supporter and she was not speaking for me and I know she was not speaking for many other AFT teachers around the nation as well!
Retired almost 10 years now, I still want to see Randi Weingarten fired and out of the AFT as a national disgrace! Why? My reasons were and are very personal.
I grew up in a pro-union home where my father was my hero. He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) which was a subsidiary of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of International Organizations (AFL-CIO). He was a fireman/paramedic with his CDL to drive the big rigs… he was “da man” to me.
Can you imagine my pride the day I went to work for the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) a subsidiary of that same AFL-CIO my Dad worked under? Can you imagine how Randi Weingarten had destroyed that pride I had for that same AFL-CIO by 2016 when I retired?

So I want to know just exactly what it is we are supposed to be defiant of on this national day of protest.
- A strong President who is clearly running the country and puts AMERICA FIRST?
- The fact we are back to just two genders with girl’s privacy and sports returned to them?
- The trillions of dollars other countries are now investing in the United States?
- Incomes of American workers going up across the employment market?
- Inflation down for necessities to levels of the previous Trump Administration?
- Mortgage rates coming down?
- The International trade deficit cut in half in just 4 months?
- The number of illegal alien entries into our country cut by 99.999% ?
- Illegal aliens with criminal pasts being removed at a record pace?
- A majority of Americans who now believe our country is on the right track?
If you can’t explain to me what we are to be defiant about on June 14th, don’t show up for any of these protests. You will only out yourself as a pathetic idiot.
President Donald Trump is a truly remarkable leader. The way he has turned our failing and faltering nation around in just 4 months is nothing short of remarkable! He makes his detractors look like losers and as the title of his children’s book says, “Winners Aren’t Losers”!
To end this in terms even a five year old can understand; AFT president Randi Weingarten is a (overpaid) loser and President Donald Trump is a winner.
