 “Regulation, regulation, and taxes.”

That’s what former President Donald Trump said he would tackle as soon as he gets back into office if he wins on Nov. 5.

Speaking on the All-in Podcast last month, Trump delineated how he would save America and fix the economy, manage federal debt, control foreign policy, and deal with the border.

Economy

Trump intends to roll back regulations to reduce costs for businesses, aiming to spur economic growth and reduce inflationary pressures.

He plans to expand domestic energy production, particularly fossil fuels, to lower energy costs and stimulate the economy.

Trump proposes to renegotiate trade deals to favor American interests, aiming to boost domestic manufacturing and employment.

He suggests using the executive authority to impound federal funds to cut wasteful spending and control inflation.

These measures reflect his broader economic philosophy of reducing government intervention and promoting free-market principles.

Abortion

Trump has articulated his stance on Roe v. Wade primarily by taking credit for its overturning due to his appointment of three conservative Supreme Court justices. Trump emphasizes that the decision has returned the power to regulate abortion to individual states, which aligns with his view that this is where such decisions should be made. He states that each state will now determine its abortion laws through their own legislative processes, reflecting the will of their citizens.

Trump’s approach to abortion in his potential second term focuses on state-level control rather than advocating for a specific national ban as Democrats falsely claim he would do.

However, he has supported exceptions for cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is at risk. Despite avoiding explicit endorsements of specific state laws, his comments allow for passive support of state-level restrictions.

Russia/Ukraine

Trump has stated that if he wins the election, he will end the Ukraine-Russia war within 24 hours by brokering a deal between the involved parties. His plan reportedly involves pressuring Ukraine to make territorial concessions, specifically ceding areas like the Crimean Peninsula and parts of the Donbas region to Russia. Trump believes that both sides want to find a face-saving exit from the conflict. However, the feasibility of this plan is widely questioned, especially given Ukraine’s firm stance against territorial compromises.

Trump is certainly more likely to resolve the war then Biden is.

Israel/Hamas

Trump has made several statements regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. He has condemned the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, calling it an “act of savagery” and expressed strong support for Israel in its efforts to combat Hamas. Trump emphasized that Israel must “finish the problem” and ensure the complete dismantling of Hamas.

He has also criticized the Biden administration for its weak leadership in the Middle East and has pledged that under his leadership, the U.S. would fully support Israel. Additionally, Trump’s campaign has highlighted his past actions to support Israel, such as moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and facilitating the
Abraham Accords.

Trump’s approach includes barring Gaza residents from entering the U.S. as part of an expanded travel ban and maintaining a strong stance against Iran to prevent it from supporting terrorist activities in the region.

China

Trump has suggested imposing a 60% tariff on all Chinese imports, aiming to significantly reduce the trade flow between the U.S. and China. This move is intended to pressure China economically and encourage the relocation of manufacturing to other countries or back to the U.S.

He has expressed interest in ending China’s most-favored nation trading status, which would further complicate trade relations for China and impose stricter trade barriers.

He has expressed his plan to continue, and possibly expand, the use of export controls and investment screenings to limit China’s access to critical technologies and investments, aiming to curb China’s economic and technological advancements.

Trump’s approach is rooted in the understanding that tough economic policies are necessary to counter China’s rise and protect American industries.

Border

Trump has vowed to finish building the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a project he emphasized during his first term. He aims to complete the sections that were unfinished and potentially add new stretches of wall.

He plans to triple the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation officers and hire additional Border Patrol agents to strengthen border security and enforcement.

Trump intends to reintroduce stringent immigration policies, including expanded travel bans from countries deemed high-risk for terrorism and enforcing the Migrant Protection Protocols, which require asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings.

Trump’s approach is characterized by an “America-first” stance on immigration, aiming to significantly curb illegal immigration and enhance border security through physical barriers and increased enforcement personnel.

Let’s hope President Biden stays in the race. This way, Trump is almost guaranteed to win the election and bring sanity back to America.
