5Mind. The Meme Platform

The mullahs of Iran have been at war with the West and particularly the United States for nearly half a century.  If that is not enough, Iran is also the world’s foremost champion of terrorism.

Iran enjoys referring to the United States as the “Great Satan” and Israel as the “Little Satan.” In their pursuit of a nuclear arsenal, Iran has promised to wipe Israel “off the map,” while loudly proclaiming “Death to America.”

These epithets are not just metaphorical or contrived; rather they are deeply embedded within the psyche of Iran’s revolutionary Islamists and is a rallying cry to justify doing whatever they please.

The Iranian Islamist mullahs are a doomsday cult in love with death.

An Iran without nuclear weapon capability is much more preferable than an Iran with them.

Some Americans have a problem with this.

As president, Barack Obama released $1.7 billion to Iran of which $400 million was in cash and infamously airlifted by pallet to the mullahs.  During Obama’s third term under the facade of Joe Biden, over $16 billion of frozen Iranian assets were thawed out and undoubtedly used to maintain Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Appeasement under every president since Jimmy Carter has only enabled the mullahs.  Iran’s mullahs are a terror organization under an international flag and a member of the United Nations.

With the success of the air strikes, Obama was despondent that the nuclear program he helped the Iranians finance was destroyed. However, to Obama’s and the left’s relief, a Biden appointed U.S. District Judge in San Francisco ordered President Trump to rebuild the shattered Iranian nuclear facilities.

How many Iranian subversives are here thanks to Biden’s no borders policy?  If Biden gave the order to take out the supreme leader, Diana Ross would no longer be with us.  Provided Hillary Clinton carried out the same order, she would have made it look like an accident.

Operation Midnight Hammer was directed at the world’s largest terror syndicate that includes Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, while denying Iran nuclear weapons.  Lost in the argument is how this was solely about ending Iran’s nuclear capability in which 99.9% of Iran was not under direct fire.

This limited attack is not “nation building” or is another “forever war.”  Rather, it is about ending the second longest American war.

Not to be forgotten are U.S. Army troops protecting the Korean Peninsula’s 38th parallel since July 27, 1953, when a fragile cease fire took place.  Since then, the North Koreans have developed nuclear weapons.  Where was this same wherewithal in the ‘90s with North Korea?  This very day my daughter stands on watch at the 38th parallel where her grandfather once served in combat 73 years ago with the First Marine Division.

This entire episode with Iran commenced on November 4,1979 with the taking of 52 American hostages for 444 days. It was interrupted when Ronald Reagan took the oath of office on January 20, 1981, when the hostages were released.  At the time, I was in the Mojave at a place called 29 Palms.  I recall being at the Post Exchange when the announcement was made giving everyone pause.

Less than three years later, the 24th Marine Amphibious Unitheadquarters at the Beirut International Airport was bombed by the mullahs’ terror proxy Hezbollah on an early Sunday morning on October 23, 1983.  The entire Beirut fiasco finally concluded nearly 18 months in February 1984 – leaving a black eye on the presidential legacy of Ronald Reagan.

The questions have not changed: preventive or preemptive use of force?

Are we to await a nuclear 9/11?

What if a sworn enemy is actively focused on destroying you?  The attack was the justified use of lethal force against evil, like a policeman taking out a school shooter.  It was a moral imperative in a fallen world.

For those on the left, terrorism is just one big misunderstanding.  If only we communicate better and make a more virtuous effort to understand and accommodate our enemies, everything would work itself out.

A “head in the sand” isolationism foreign policy disregards and ignores the hard facts that our enemies would incinerate us. Our geopolitical enemies are always watching closely and perhaps now realize that when a red line is drawn, we honor it
