Alex Jones and Infowars Censored?

In what some are saying is yet another instance of the socialist Democrats engaging in lawfare, Alex Jones and his Infowars network may be out of business soon. Infowars dates back to 1999 and has a following of some 2 million people. Its video podcasts are largely viewed on Rumble.com.

In an “emergency broadcast” on Saturday, conservative journalist Alex Jones claimed that his news company, Infowars’, studios in Austin, Texas, might be shut down by federal authorities soon.

“This is going to be Infowars’ last show, because I learned yesterday that they were going to padlock the door and kick us out last night,” Jones said on Infowars Saturday. On Friday, May 31, the news outlet published an article saying it might be shut down in 48 hours. Jones said he spotted “guards looking at me weird” at the entrance of the Infowars building and believed his company was going to be shut down soon thereafter.

“I discovered this and a bunch of other stuff that I haven’t released yet,” Jones said. He claimed he slept in his studios that night to prevent them from being shut down, and threatened to call local police.

The Infowars host said he had evidence proving the alleged attempt to shut down his studios is politically motivated. “There’s a 50 percent chance this is happening right now,” Jones said in a post published on “X” on Saturday.

“They want us shut down because in bankruptcy and what was happening we have a path with the judge to continue on for years, and the judge has signaled that. So, different groups involved in the bankruptcy that will be exposed soon have literally made a move to shut this place down and end my show,” Jones said.

Jones thinks “the deep state” is “making a move to shut down Infowars” after going after Donald Trump, who, on Thursday, was found guilty by a New York jury on 34 counts of falsifying business records over a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The problem with the Trump trial is it should have been one count of a misdemeanor and New York DA inflated it to 34 as a felony for every check the Trump Organization ever cut to then attorney Michael Cohen. The other problem with the Bragg case is the statute of limitations had run out on even making such a misdemeanor charge valid.

On air Saturday, Jones broke into tears. “We’re going to beat these people. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it’s been a hard fight,” Jones said.

“I’ve been targeted for abuse. I was duped by someone. Federal files in secret have claimed that I’m committing crimes. This was untrue, of course… This may be my final performance,” he said.

Jones received the support of MAGA Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who posted a photo with Jones on X writing: “I stand with Alex Jones.”

Life seemingly began to go downhill for Jones after facing a huge legal expense after being ordered in 2022 to pay nearly $1.5 billion in damages for calling the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut a hoax. Like the Trump trial, the Jones trial did not seem fair and left people questioning, “When did we lose our First Amendment right to free speech?”

Later that year, Jones filed for personal bankruptcy, a move that is often used to stave off legal judgments. But in October 2023, the Houston, Texas U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Christopher Lopez (D) ruled Jones was not protected by bankruptcy and still needs to pay the nearly $1.5 billion in damages to families affected by the Sandy Hook school shooting. In December, Jones proposed a settlement whereby he would pay the families at $5.5 million every year over 10 years, but the plaintiffs rejected his offer saying the offer fell “woefully short.”

Just last week, he obtained approval for the $2.8-million sale of his Texas ranch. The money is to be put into an escrow account to pay for his legal expenses.

CONCLUSION:

Americans and American journalists should never be sued for asking legitimate questions of things they do not understand or see as suspicious. I was a college professor in 2012. In 2013 one of my students came to my office and showed me something on the Internet. He said, “Hey, check this out. If 26 people died in Sandy Hook, why does the FBI crime report of that year show no homicides for Newton, Connecticut?”

FBI Publishes Report Stating Nobody Died At Sandy Hook – Truth and Action

That was a significant moment for me because prior to that I had only questioned the JFK Assassination and events of 9/11.

Now I have yet another new question about the Sandy Hook narrative, “Why would the parents of the Sandy Hook children reject Alex Jones’ offer to try to do right by them paying them $5.5 million every year over 10 years?” The way things are going now, they will get nothing because Jones livelihood will be gone! That tells me somebody cared less about monetary damages then ending Jones’ podcasts!

The other issue I have is how this judge arrived at such a high amount of damages when Jones is said to be only worth about 10 million. The settlement is excessive and should be challenged.

I want to give credit to podcaster Viva Frei who brought this story to the public’s attention first late last night. Obviously, this is a developing story, as they say.
