“Steve Bannon had a major legal error happen in his trial where the judge said that he could not present evidence that President Trump asserted executive privilege in this case. President Trump absolutely asserted executive privilege… We’ve had executive privilege going back to George Washington…. The Supreme Court has held that that applies to former presidents… and the Department of Justice has an opinion from 2007 that outside advisers … are protected by executive privilege…. So the fact that this judge did not allow Steve Bannon to put on this defense is a reversible error.”
