Buffy Wicks Wants to Force Businesses to Mandate Vaccines in California

Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks (Oakland) is looking to make a name for herself in the California legislature. Despite the deadline for introduction of new legislation having come and gone long ago, she is considering a gut and amend, slide it under the radar, literally last minute bill (think SB714 style) that will have devastating impacts on every single Californian, every business and employee. She only has a few weeks to get this legislation through if she decides to move forward, so things could move extraordinarily fast. It is critical that you share this message with friends, family members, neighbors, coworkers, etc.

Here is what she is doing. Buffy Wicks wants to pass a bill that mandates The Great Experiment Requirement for all PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYERS. She wants legislation that REQUIRES that all private sector employers mandate COVID-19 vaccines for all employees. Additionally, she is discussing with โ€œstakeholdersโ€ the following ideas: liability protection for employers who mandate, termination procedures for employees who refuse, employer exemption from any testing costs incurred, protection from unemployment insurance costs if employees refuse and are terminated, immunity from workers comp liability should an adverse reaction occur. So, to sum it up: mandate it and excuse employers from any and all liability.

Please. Stop what youโ€™re doing and take action now. There is no bill number yet. This is still in the brainstorming stage, but rest assured Buffy Wicks is all about mandates and cares little for liberty on this issue.

What to do:

  1. Reach out to Buffy Wicks and tell her you oppose any mandates for employers to require employees to get vaccinated. If you are a business owner, share this.

4) Tell your spouse, adult kids, family member, coworkers, friends, neighbors, and anyone you know who might oppose this overreach to voice their opposition.

5) Share this article.

California does not need more barriers for businesses. California does not need more overreaching legislation passed by power hungry legislators. Make your voice heard before itโ€™s too late.
