Demoralized Democrats Are Dazed And Confused

5Mind. The Meme Platform

The election of 2024 was devastating for the Democratic Party, losing the White House and the U.S. Senate. Democrats were also unable to take back control of the U.S. House, leaving the party in the political wilderness. In addition, most states, 27, have Republican Governors, compared to only 23 who are led by Democrats.

Despite a war chest of $2.5 billion and the support of the mainstream news media, Hollywood stars, special interest groups and the Deep State bureaucracy, former Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, lost an electoral vote landslide, as well as the popular vote, giving the GOP this victory for the first time since 2004.

Harris gave voters no reason to vote Democrat. She was not articulate or persuasive and she refused to engage the media in news conferences or defend her ever changing positions in interviews or podcasts. What the Democratic Party promoted the most was their support for open borders, more federal spending, abortion rights, transgender rights, and continual funding for the war in Ukraine.

As sports commentator Stephen A. Smith noted, regarding the focus on transgender issues, the Democrats emphasized “issues that pertain to less than 1% of the population.” He blasted Democrats for not nominating a candidate who is “a voice for us” and “speaks for us.”

The result was disastrous for the Democratic Party, as voters sent their hated nemesis, Donald Trump, back to the White House.

After Trump triumphed, President Joe Biden laughably mused to the media that he could have won the race if he had not withdrawn. Of course, he was forced to exit the campaign by high-ranking Democrats, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), after his mental incompetence was exposed nationwide in his catastrophic debate performance.

During the transition period, Biden attempted to create problems for the Trump administration by a series of foolhardy moves. Even worse, he released terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay prison and issued a series of questionable pardons for his son Hunter, hardened criminals, retired General Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, House J6 committee members, and, in his final act as President, his family members.

These questionable antics, along with his dreadful record as President, surely contributed to his final approval rating of an abysmal 36%. Americans hated the Biden presidency and for good reason. He destroyed the secure borders, peace and prosperity President Trump left him and gave Americans a horrible economy, an open border, and international conflicts.

Biden was often on vacation and rarely bothered to conduct interviews. His news conferences were infrequent and scripted, due to his aides controlling him and not allowing his mental incompetence to be on full display to the American people.

His successor, President Trump, is everything Joe Biden is not. He is vibrant, active, focused, and totally engaged with the media and the American people. In his first week, Trump accomplished more than Biden did in four years.

Unlike Biden, Trump is a leader, and his leadership skills were on full display during the first week as the 47th President of the United States. It is the most active and successful week in American presidential history.

On his first day back at the White House, President Trump issued 46 presidential actions, including 26 executive orders. Many of these actions involved border security, which President Trump promised to “fix” in his election victory speech.

Along with declaring a national emergency and sending thousands of military troops to the border, Trump restarted construction of the border wall and branded the drug cartels as terrorist organizations. He called for the removal of illegal aliens, the elimination of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) app, suspended asylum seekers, and attempted to end birthright citizenship.

Immediately, illegal aliens were removed by U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) and flown to their countries of origin. After the President of Columbia, Gustavo Petro, refused to accept deportation flights, Trump responded with the threat of “emergency 25% tariffs.”

He posted on social media, “Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States.” Trump also was making plans to close the United States embassy in Columbia and impose a “Travel Ban and immediate Visa Revocations on the Colombian Government Officials, and all Allies and Supporters.” Within hours, Petro backed down and offered to send his personal presidential plane to “pick up the deported migrants.”

All this winning is registering well with the American people. According to Real Clear Politics, President Trump is averaging a 51.5% approval rating, with only 43% disapproving of his actions during the first week. As CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten noted, Trump is politically “in a better position than he was at any point during his entire first term.”

In response, some Democrats like Krystal Majerus Enquist of Minnesota are angry. She said Trump’s victory is “nauseating,” and she is upset at voters for choosing a President who is “hateful” and spreads “fear.”

Other Democrats want to leave their red state or even leave America. A survey by StorageUnits.com discovered that 54% of voters who supported Harris for President want to “relocate,” either to another country or to a “blue” state. Not surprisingly, the top reasons for wanting to move are “abortion,” “increased racial inequality,” and the “overturning of progressive rights.”

Democrats who are not angry or moving are either demoralized, dazed, or confused. Their party does not have any true leaders waiting in the wings. There is no one to lead the party out of the political desert.

Their platform of lunatic leftism does not appeal to the most Americans, so Democrats need to develop a set of new policies that will connect with voters.

As Democrats try to save their languishing party, Trump will continue to provide bold leadership to “heal” our country after a disastrous four years.

Obviously, the American people love Trump 2.0 and are thankful to have a real leader as President once again.
