“There’s not real doubt that Russia and China have been moving together thanks of course to western pressure. Xi is obviously acting in China’s interest here and the question is why would he be doing this? Why is it in China’s national interests to face down the rest of the world the west in supporting Russia. Does China have a dog in this fight? Well not particularly in the Russia v. Ukraine land border dispute. What Xi is interested in is prolonging the war.”
