Military Service and Support

Joey Gilbert enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve in 2001, and graduated from Air Force basic training in Lackland, Texas. He served a six-year commitment on individual ready reserve, was never deployed, and was honorably discharged in 2007. Between 2005 and 2007, while competing as a professional fighter, Joey was invited to participate in 3 USO tours. He visited our troops serving at Forward Operating Bases in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom), and in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom.)
