Oh SNAP! Need to Eat, Get a Job!

5Mind. The Meme Platform

Senate Democrats have to be about the dumbest breed of people on the planet!

Why?

The month-long government shutdown they’ve nicknamed “The Schumer Shutdown” after New York Senator Chuck Schumer (D), has thrown light on their socialist food assistance programs as 42 million Americans loose their benefits as of today, November 1st

The lesson Americans should be learning could be taken from a college course, Socialism 101:

“If you give them the power to feed you, you give them the power to starve you.”

Or, another lesson taught came from an ancient Chinese proverb from philosopher Lao Tzu, long before socialists walked the earth:

“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Here are few of the facts that throw light on what the Democrats have been up to the last few years that most American taxpayers didn’t know about.

  • The number of people on food stamps went from 20 million to 40 million under Barack Obama.
  • The food stamp program almost doubled in cost under Joe Biden to $100 billion.
  • The top 2 groups of people receiving food stamps by ethnicity are Afghan – 45.6%, and Somali. (These are people who do not even assimilate well in America.)
  • The top 2 groups of people receiving food stamps by race are white – 36% and black – 26%.
  • The November benefits for the food stamps will cost the government upward of $9 billion.
  • The average benefit per household is $356 and this is tax free income.

But this week U.S. District Judge John McConnell, who was appointed by Democrat Barack Obama in 2011, ordered the Trump Administration to resume the benefits for more than 40 million Americans starting Saturday (today) without a budget!

He rejected arguments that government emergency funds can be used only for hurricanes or other uncontrollable catastrophes.

“SNAP benefits have never, until now, been terminated,” McConnell said at a hearing. “And the United States has in fact admitted that the contingency funds are appropriately used during a shutdown and that occurred in 2019.”

The judge ordered the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to distribute the emergency funds “timely or as soon as possible” and provide an update to the court by Monday.

This judge should clearly be impeached for two reasons.

1. He is guilty of judicial overreach into the Executive Branch and getting into something he knows little to nothing about.

2. The emergency fund he cited from 2019 only has $5 billion in it and that money now needs to be ready for hurricane season in America and hurricane Melissa offered proof of that potential need. (Melissa was one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded in history.)

No judge has the right to order the Trump Administration to pay money it does not have or has earmarked for other purposes. The looming SNAP collapse has become the latest visible sign of the government shutdown.

Republicans, who have been mostly unified, are now seeing cracks forming in the Senate GOP over whether SNAP should be allowed to lapse this weekend. This expiration would impact millions of people in Republican-represented states.

While the judge’s ruling may take the pressure off for now if President Trump is even capable of complying, it does not require the USDA to maintain the benefit once the emergency fund is depleted. This has been a bone of contention with the Trump Administration. They have determined data shows some 20 million Americans on social programs are able bodied men and women capable of work but opt not to due to laziness.

The Trump administration’s refusal to spend from the Emergency Funds came after two lawsuits, one filed by 25 Democratic-led states and the other brought by a coalition of cities and private organizations.

“The shutdown is absolutely an emergency for our clients. As of tomorrow, these benefits will not be available to millions of Americans,” Michael Torcello, an attorney for the plaintiffs, told McConnell.

Judge McConnell handed down his ruling from the bench moments after U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, another Obama appointee of 2014 who serves in Boston and oversees the states’ case, issued a written order suggesting she’ll issue a similar block. Talwani gave the government until Monday to explain how it will use the contingency funds.

“If there’s no appropriation, there really is no program,” Justice Department attorney Tyler Becker said at Friday’s hearing. “The government cannot just add funding when no program exists.”

CONCLUSION:

There is a difference between “going hungry” and “going hungry by choice”. As a high school teacher back in the day I enjoyed movies that reinforced students should not grow up to be “slackers”. Movies that taught this lesson according to Google AI were “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986), “Slacker” (1991) and “Dazed and Confused” (1993).

But the first movie I ever saw referencing this term for laziness was “Back to the Future” (1985) which Google AI forgot about but I did not! I guess that means I have RI “Real Intelligence”.

Most forms of public assistance were never intended to be permanent for able bodied American men and women. It was a temporary fix to get you past a rough patch in your life similar to unemployment benefits for those who suddenly find themselves out of a job. A relative of mine is on that benefit right now and it lasts for 6 months and you must prove you are actively working for work!

All of our elected political figures and appointed judges must remain cognizant and vigilant to protect our nation from the Cloward-Piven Strategy being put into practice to topple our nation. Simply stated, that strategy involves overwhelming our welfare rolls such that the takers outnumber the makers and more money is going out than coming in.

This country may well be at war and the enemies of this battle are now clearly identified as Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, U.S. District Judge John McConnell of Rhode Island, and U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani of Boston.

The first rule of war is, “Know thine enemy,” from Sun Tzu’s famous “The Art of War”.

We have met the enemy and they are America’s socialist Democrats!

President Trump must reduce our public aid rolls by making able bodied Americans GET TO WORK!
