Radical Commencement: School board member’s ‘woke’ graduation speech

The keynote speaker at Jeb Stuart HIgh School in June 2021 was Abrar Omeish, the only Muslim member of the all-Democratic party Fairfax County School Board. At one point, speaking in Arabic she called on students to remember Jihad. The entire theme of her speech was not on becoming good citizens, but causing, in her words, “ good trouble.”
