Suspect Arrested in Connection With Altercation at Federal Prosecutor Alina Habba’s Office

Attorney General Pam Bondi, earlier this week, had said a man damaged property in Habba’s office while attempting to confront her.

The FBI has confirmed that a man has been arrested in connection with an altercation at the office space of acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba earlier this week.

FBI spokesperson Emily Molinari confirmed Saturday that authorities had arrested Keith Michael Lisa, 51.

Attorney General Pam Bondi first brought attention to the incident in a Nov. 13 statement. At the time, Bondi had said that a man had “attempted to confront” Habba and then destroyed property in her office, before fleeing the scene. Bondi did not specify whether Habba was there to witness the incident directly but wrote, “Thankfully, Alina is ok.”

In a follow-up statement on Saturday, Bondi said the suspect is now in custody.

“No one will get away with threatening or intimidating our great U.S. Attorneys or the destruction of their offices,” the attorney general said.

The FBI had identified Lisa on Friday via a wanted poster, and offered $25,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Molinari did not specify when or where Lisa was arrested, or what charges he may be facing. Likewise, it’s not clear whether Lisa has an attorney representing him.

“We got him,” Habba added in her own press statement following news of the arrest. Habba said that the Department of Justice, under Bondi’s leadership, “will not tolerate any acts of intimidation or violence toward law enforcement.”

Habba went on to thank the FBI, the U.S. Marshal Service, and the Department of Homeland Security investigators “for their tireless work to capture him.”

“Now justice will handle him,” Habba said.
