The IDF Finds Tunnels from Gaza to Egypt

5Mind. The Meme Platform

This is yet another example where Joe Biden has come down on the wrong side of history and the mainstream media is found to be negligent in reporting. First the American media needs to report this as news and second they need to ask Joe Biden why he ran interference on Israel invading the southern strip of Gaza along the border with Egypt known as Rafah’s Philadelphia Corridor.

Last week the Israel Defense Force (IDF) found tunnels under the border from Gaza into Egypt which have shown the Philadelphi Corridor of Rafah to be a “Lifeline” for Hamas. This was earth shaking as it is an apparent violation of the Egypt–Israel peace treaty signed in Washington, D.C., on 26 March 1979, following the 1978 Camp David Accords signed by Anwar Sadat, President of Egypt, and Menachem Begin, Prime Minister of Israel, during the Jimmy Carter presidency.

The implication is Egypt has been supporting Hamas in a covert way in violation of a peace agreement.

What was found underground were anti-tank missiles, grenades, and AK-47 automatic rifles, to name a few.  The weapons were discovered by Israeli troops on May 29 in a tunnel located several hundred feet from the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt. The 1.5 km (almost a mile) tunnel “branched into several sub-routes and was used by Hamas terrorists for movement, transferring weapons and initiating terrorist attacks,” Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said. “We are investigating these tunnels and neutralizing them. In parallel, the troops continue to conduct operations,” he added.

“The discovery of tunnels in Gaza near the Egyptian border reveals how Hamas sought to exploit the border area to hide its terrorist activities. Hamas also used the border area to smuggle weapons and to place its rockets that have terrorized Israel over the last two decades.” — Seth J. Frantzman, FDD Adjunct Fellow

“Hamas has invested substantial time and resources in building a vast network of underground tunnels, which serves as a crucial infrastructure for military operations. However, the sheer scale and complexity of this infrastructure pose a significant challenge for Israeli forces, as dismantling it would require considerable time and resources. This could be a hurdle for the Israeli military, particularly given the international pressure to accept a ceasefire with Hamas and refrain from further military action.” — Joe Truzman, Senior Research Analyst at FDD’s Long War Journal

The tunnels uncovered May 29 by the IDF in the Philadelphi Corridor were found after operations began in eastern Rafah on May 27. The corridor, which Israel took operational control of on May 29, was a “lifeline” for the Hamas terrorist group, Adm. Hagari said.

“We are investigating these tunnels and neutralizing them. In parallel, the troops continue to conduct operations. These operations are carried out based on intelligence information regarding specific locations in the area,” Adm. Hagari added. Hamas smuggled weapons through the southern border with Egypt, Adm. Hagari said. The IDF also found armed rocket launchers mortars and other terrorist weapons in the tunnels. “This infrastructure was located between 10 and 40 meters from the border, specifically so that Israel would not strike near the fence with Egypt,” Adm. Hagari noted.

CONCLUSION:

One of the most disturbing parts about this story is the fact it has wrongfully been fact checked as false when it is, indeed, true. Here is all the proof these fake fact checkers need from actual boots on the ground:

“Israel Makes SHOCKING Discovery in Rafah – AMERICA’S SECRETS REVEALED” – The Israel Guys

Besides the Biden administration running interference against Israel invading Rafah others have as well. The International Court Justice (ICJ), United Nations (UN), Amnesty International (AI), European Union (EU), Egypt, and Qatar all opposed Israel’s invasion of Rafah under the premise it would cause more Gaza civilian deaths.

Now, after the fact and the exposure of these tunnels by the IDF, Israelis must question who they can really trust. Israel has done a great job controlling the flow of weapons by way of land (north and east) and sea (Mediterranean – west) which are 3 sides of Gaza. Logically, just the south side of Gaza bordering Egypt was left unchecked. Israel has also done a great job limiting civilian deaths even as Hamas has used civilians as human shields.

Biden says he will stop sending bombs and artillery shells to Israel if it launches major invasion of Rafah – CNN

It took Israel 3 months for Israel to work up to the invasion of Rafah due to public pressure for them not to do so.

The two questions I now have about this incident are as follows:

  • Did Joe Biden act in this incident in a fashion favorable to his Muslim buddy Barack Hussein Obama (“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”) rather than American interests like Israel?
  • Is our intelligence community so hell bent on keeping President Donald Trump from a second term they totally dropped the ball again on this one like they did on the October 7, 2023 slaughter of innocent Israeli civilians by Hamas terrorists?

When Israel finally does eradicate Hamas and makes peace with the Palestinians in Gaza, the logical solution is to NOT allow the Gaza territory to border Egypt the 12-kilometre (7.5 miles) hereafter!
