Eric July is the frontman (vocalist) of BackWordz and a political commentator. You’ll find a little bit of everything on his channel. He is a Libertarian, AnCap and co-founder of Being Libertarian as well as a Christian.
About Eric July
Though believing it to be a good problem to have, Eric July is involved in dozens of different avenues which can be attributed to his work ethic and upbringing. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, his early life was not easy and he often found himself in trouble one way or another. He did, however, create a buzz under the moniker of “YG Rippa” as a rap artist and knuckle-headed teenager. With the encouragement of his mother and his own persistence, July eventually used his God-given athletic ability to land himself a track & field scholarship. Ending up at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi July had a solid collegiate career, breaking the 100m school record which still stands. But it was through these years where Eric decided to give it a shot at being a vocalist in other genres such as metal and punk rock. July was all in, even changing the content of his Youtube channel, filling it with metalcore vocal covers; he received initial backlash from his fanbase. But he eventually got the eyes and ears of fans and ended up fronting his first successful metal act Fire From The Gods. A few years later he left the band due to creative and economic differences and became a founder of a street-hop/metalcore act known as BackWordz. The band’s debut album, Veracity, landed on several Billboard and Soundscan charts which included the #1 Alternative New Artist and #2 Heatseekers album in 2017.
Eric July also grew politically and socially during his early 20s which led to him cofounding the now prominent, Being Libertarian, that of which he is the current Head of Multimedia for. July is now a decently known libertarian and comic book commentator that has appeared on numerous national television and radio platforms.
In 2019 and still under 30 years of age, July has gathered a solid following, having 100k+ subscribers on Youtube and tens of thousands of followers across multiple social media platforms.
