The Left is Gearing up to Resist Trump’s Rescue of America

The win for President Donald Trump last Tuesday was overwhelming and the message from the American people is, “We’ve had it with insane leftist ideology. We want change and we want it now!” The mandate is loud and clear, or so one would think. Rather than consider why they, and their destructive policies, were utterly rejected by the voters, Democrats have decided to push back against the will of the American people.

Perry Bacon Jr. kicked off the fight bright and early Wednesday morning in a Washington Post piece, “The Second Resistance to Trump Must Start Right Now.” He wrote, “I suspect most Americans…don’t want to see deportations of millions of undocumented immigrants, super-high tariffs, mass firing of federal employees, the National Guard being called in to stop protests, and other extreme ideas…”

Whatever Perry suspects, most Americans did vote for the Trump agenda, which is basic common sense, not extreme ideas. Putting tampons in boys’ bathrooms, providing criminal aliens with sex change operations or funding our own enemies in their fight against us are examples of extreme ideas, and stupid ones at that. The Trump platform is all about putting America, the American people and our allies first, not criminals, illegal aliens or our enemies around the world.

Further down in his article, Perry writes, “I worry that Trump and his team won’t be alone in interpreting his second victory as a mandate from the public.” Well, how else are we to interpret it? President Trump won every demographic in this election. In radical left blue states that he didn’t win, he greatly increased his percentage. The Senate was flipped and Democrats are losing seats in the House. There is no other way to interpret the results of this overall landslide win. The American people do not want insane, woke leftist ideology, they want Donald Trump.

Perry isn’t alone; other liberal lunatics came out promising to stand up to President Trump.

Attorney General of New York Latitia James said, “We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result.” Respond? Respond how? What does that even mean? Isn’t her job to fight crime and protect the citizens of New York? That’s what President Trump wants. If that’s her job, then Donald Trump is her ally.

California Governor Gavin Newsom called a special session of his state’s Legislature to sock away cash to fight the next Trump Presidency.  He said, “The freedoms we hold dear in California are under attack, and we won’t sit idle.” Someone needs to let Newsom know his constituents just voted to pass Proposition 36. They’ve had enough of his soft-on-crime stance that turns a blind eye to retail theft and other crimes and don’t want his lawless policies.

They voted out progressive George Gascón in favor of Republican Nathan Hochman in Los Angeles for District Attorney. Hochman ran on restoring law and order and won in that deep blue city by over 20 points.

The Attorney General of California, Rob Bonta said, “I’m not happy with the results, but I’m energized and ready to fight…and punch back and push back and fight back against any attacks from the Trump administration on California’s ongoing progress.” Again, we have an Attorney General who would rather fight Trump than fight crime.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said her State Police will not cooperate with President Trump’s deportation efforts. According to the Pew Research Center, 61 of 100 voters said the invasion of America’s southern border was important to their vote. After inflation, immigration was the second highest issue of concern. Has she not heard the stories of criminal illegal aliens raping and murdering young women? If she’s not careful, Bay Staters will vote her out too.

Democrat Governors and progressive Attorneys General all over the country are gearing up to hold the line against President Trump. They could better spend their time and energy examining their leftist policies and trying to understand why they were completely rebuked on November 5th.

We saw more than just legal push back against President Trump during his first term. We saw riots. We saw entire cities burned down. We saw the rise of Antifa, Black Lives Matter and other criminal organizations bussing around the country to violently protest. You never want to let a crisis go to waste, right? I’m sure during Trump’s second term we’ll see more left wing groups causing disorder and chaos unleashed by progressives, funded by George Soros, supported by the Democrat party and praised by the liberal media.

There’s a reason why Kamala Harris never had a full press conference or refused to go on Joe Rogan. You never saw her on the Sunday shows or heard her answer a question or take a policy position on anything. She stayed on teleprompter in speeches and would only regurgitate memorized, focus group tested lines. She had to lie about her true policy positions because the left knows their ideology will never win over the American people in a legitimate debate.

We don’t want to be told what guns we can own, what car to drive, what stove we can have, or what light bulb to use. We don’t want massive government spending driving up inflation and the cost of living. We don’t want boys competing with our daughters in sports or undressing with them in their locker rooms. We don’t want criminals turned loose in our communities and looting our businesses. We don’t want an unsecured border, terrorists flooding the nation or unvetted illegal alien gangs roaming our cities and towns looking for women to rape and kill, and we don’t want to project weakness around the world to our allies and enemies. The voters have spoken and the mandate is clear: Americans want their country rescued from failed Democrat policies. The left is vowing to fight, but their fight isn’t with Donald Trump, they’re fighting against the will of the American people. Why is the left so against freedom in a strong, secure and prosperous America?
