The Evil Twins of Technocracy and Transhumanism

the root, tree, fruit and future of modern globalization

Preface

The Evil Twins Of Technocracy and Transhumanism. Research is tedious and there are so many things hitting at the same time that it is near impossible to keep up. Nevertheless, this is a story that must be told while there is still time and opportunity. When the entire text of the book is completed, I will immediately turn it into a traditional printed book. There will be extra content added such as a detailed Bibliography and at least one Appendix. Fortunately, more and more excellent journalists, podcasters and writers are advancing the narrative of Technocracy and Transhumanism that I have been presenting for well over 10 years. Note that the formatting in Substack, due to lack of styling features, is nowhere near what it will be in final print.

Introduction

Between 1955 and 1990, numerous esteemed scholars wrote extensively and authoritatively about technocracy. In many ways, they settled the debate about what technocracy is, about what its intentions are, about how it operates, and about why it should be completely rejected as the model of a future world. In light of that decisive conclusion, one scholar warned in 1977 that technocracy was ascending in power relative to politics.

How unfortunate it is that so few people today care so little about history. If they were willing to take the road less travelled and pause along the way to make even the slightest inquiry, they would quickly discover why we ended up where we are, who led us here, and how can we exit. In their ignorance, they defiantly proclaim, โ€œItโ€™s not technocracy!โ€ and instead insist, โ€œThis is socialism!โ€ or โ€œThis is communism!โ€ or โ€œThis is fascism!โ€

As the old worn out saw goes, โ€œYou cannot know what you do not know.โ€  So, letโ€™s get busy to uncover the truth.

What is Technocracy?

Instead of answering off the bat, I want to first discuss technocracyโ€™s practitioners, who are referred to as โ€œtechnocrats.โ€ You may have already heard this term mentioned in the news or in your social circle. Learning how to recognize a technocrat will help you understand technocracy much faster, because itโ€™s easier to understand people than it is an esoteric ideology.

About Patrick Wood

On a recent radio interview, the host described me as โ€œthe living expert on Technocracyโ€. That would be the bumper-sticker version.

My career started with the publication of the newsletter Trilateral Observer (1977) and the resulting books Trilaterals Over Washington, Volumes I and II in 1978-80. In those days, I was in collaboration with the late Professor Antony C. Sutton, one of the greatest scholars on elitism in the world. I met Tony at a gold conference in New Orleans just after he had been forced out of the Hoover Institution for War, Peace and Revolution at Stanford University over his research into the Trilateral Commission.

That set the tone for my life and career.

When I discovered historic Technocracy about 15 years ago, I instantly connected it with the Trilateral Commissionโ€™s pledge to โ€œfoster a New International Economic Orderโ€ as it was originally declared in 1973.

My discovery led me into an original research project to discover every known and surviving document on Technocracy and its popular movement from the 1930s and 1940s.
