Alexander Hamilton and the Bible

Today is the birthday of Alexander Hamilton. On Broadway, the historic figure has been brought to life in the musical “Hamilton,” which features quite a few biblical references. In a conversation between Hamilton and George Washington, the president is considering stepping down from office. In the song, “One Last Time,” the lyrics quote from the book of Micah, chapter four, verse four, “Like the scripture says, ‘Everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree.
