Leaving the abortion industry: And Then There Were None

And Then There Were None (ATTWN) is a registered nonprofit organization founded by Abby Johnson. The organization exists to help abortion clinic workers leave the abortion industry. ATTWN is pro-life without exceptions. But beyond that, weโ€™re pro-ALL life. Weโ€™re pro-love. We believe that a clinic worker’s life is valuable, too. As former clinic workers, we have a different perspective than others may have – weโ€™ve been in their shoes. And we used those shoes to walk away. ATTWN seeks to end abortion from the inside out. We believe that the end of abortion starts with abortion clinic workers leaving their jobs and finding healing from their past work. Thatโ€™s why, as former clinic workers ourselves, weโ€™re committed to helping them through the ENTIRE journey.

About Abby Johnson

CEO and Founder

When I left the abortion industry in 2009, I knew that my calling was to work with current and former abortion clinic workers. Honestly, I know the deception of the abortion industry very well. I started working at Planned Parenthood in 2001 and progressed to the position of Health Center Director. In the last year of my employment, many things began to disturb meโ€ฆthe increase in our clinicโ€™s abortion quota, our new desire to expand late term abortion services and in the end watching a 13 week old child in the womb struggle for his life during an abortion procedure. I started this ministry because I realized that there must be many people like me; people who want to leave the industry but feel alone. We never want a lack of money or fear of acceptance to be a reason that someone stays in the abortion industry. We often say that women deserve better than abortionโ€ฆwe believe clinic workers deserve better, too. I graduated from my university with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in counseling. The most important thing to know is that I believe in forgiveness, mercy, and redemption. No one is beyond the amazing power of Christ and His love.

Unplanned (2019)

The movie, Unplanned, is based on the book by the same name. It is the inspiring true story of one womanโ€™s journey of transformation. All Abby Johnson ever wanted to do was help women. As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices. Her passion surrounding a womanโ€™s right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, fighting to enact legislation for the cause she so deeply believed in.

But one day Abby Johnson she saw something that changed everything, and this lead Abby to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life, and she became one of the most ardent pro-life advocates in America.
