Ford Now Offering Used Vehicles on Amazon

The company becomes the second automaker to sell cars on Amazon, after Hyundai.

Amazon will now list Ford Blue Advantage-certified pre-owned vehicles for sale online after sealing a deal with the Ford Motor Company, beginning Nov. 17.

The program is launching in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to expand to other markets later this year and into 2026.

A statement from Ford indicates the new collaboration will allow customers to browse participating local dealers’ inventory through the Amazon Autos website, and also complete most of the paperwork online.

Consumers can shop within a 75-mile radius of their home and secure financing from a selection of banks, including Ford Credit, all on the Amazon website.

The customer relationship, however, remains with the local Ford dealer who handles pricing, vehicle pickup, and any future service needs. Amazon simply facilitates the initial transaction.

“Every vehicle is backed by a Ford Blue Advantage warranty, which means it has passed a thorough multi-point inspection and comes with roadside assistance,” the statement notes.

“This program combines the trust and quality of a Ford-certified vehicle with the familiar, convenient shopping experience of Amazon.”

According to the statement, blue-certified vehicles can include those from Ford and other brands that are up to 10 years old and have fewer than 150,000 miles. All are required to pass a 139-point inspection and come with a 90-day or 4,000-mile (whichever occurs first) comprehensive limited warranty.

A Gold Certification pertains to Ford vehicles that are up to 6 years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles. These undergo a 172-point inspection and include a 12-month or 12,000-mile (whichever comes first) comprehensive limited warranty.

Ford’s electric vehicles receive a similar EV certification covering the same time period and mileage allowances as gold-certified vehicles. They undergo a 127-point inspection and the same warranty coverage as those with Gold Certifications.

All vehicles come with a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee, allowing consumers to return the vehicle within two weeks or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first.

“Customers get a vehicle that’s been inspected, reconditioned, and comes with a Ford warranty,” the statement indicated.

“It’s a convenient, trusted way to shop for a used car online.”
