Heritage Action Thanks Gov. Brian Kemp for Signing Election Integrity Bill

Washington, DC — Heritage Action for America, a national conservative grassroots organization, released a statement from Executive Director Jessica Anderson thanking Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for signing into law SB 202, a major election reform package:

Heritage Action thanks Gov. Brian Kemp for taking immediate action and signing this historic voting security bill, which will make Georgia’s elections more fair and transparent.

While some on the Left attempted to suppress Georgian voters by pushing policies that undermine trust in the state’s elections, Gov. Kemp and Georgia legislators fought to restore voter trust and confidence. And today, they succeeded — this is a massive victory for every single Georgian voter and for our country.

Heritage Action also thanks the Heritage Action Sentinels who supported their legislators and helped get this bill across the finish line. Heritage Action worked with over 20,000 volunteers who supported election reform, many of whom met with legislators at the very beginning of this process. Thanks to them, Georgia is now leading the nation in free, fair, and safe elections — the rest of the nation should follow.

Background: Heritage Action recently launched an effort to strengthen Georgia’s election laws and restore voter confidence in the state, including a $600,000 TV ad buy, $100,000 in digital advertising, and a grassroots advocacy initiative, for an initial total investment of $1 million. Heritage Action worked with over 20,000 activists to help them contact their legislators and advocate for election integrity legislation.
