U.S. District Judge Morrison England Jr. blocked California legislation that states that presidential and gubernatorial candidates are required to make five years of tax returns public to qualify to run in the state’s primary elections. This law was signed by Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in an attempt to remove President Donald Trump’s name from the 2020 election ballot in the state of California.
