The United States and Iran have tentatively agreed upon a 60-day memorandum of understanding to extend their current ceasefire and enable further negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, U.S. government sources have confirmed with The Epoch Times.

The deal is awaiting final sign-off by President Donald Trump, sources said on May 28.

The understanding was reached after Trump directed offensive military actions against Iran, leading to 38 days of large-scale fighting before Washington and Tehran agreed to a ceasefire on April 7.
