The Meaning of America
AMERICA’s more than just a name,
the letters stand for something true.
Here’s the things they mean to me,
the Red, White and the Blue.
A stands for allegiance,
to the ideals of this land.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,
by every woman and each man.
M is for our military,
those who fight and die for you.
The blood of their sacrifice,
is the Red and the Red, White and Blue.
E is for the eagle,
flying majestically up high.
The symbol of freedom and of strength,
soaring through the sky.
R is for a republic,
where a vote stands for a choice.
The greatest experiment in history,
gives every citizen a voice.
I is for the immigrants,
who sailed here from distant lands,
Pledging their allegiance to our flag,
in the republic for which it stands.
C stands for this country,
the Red, the White, the Blue.
This one nation under God,
it belongs to me and you.
The final A represents all of us,
the citizens of the United States.
The forefathers forged an experiment,
they hoped would become great.
AMERICA’s more than just a name,
each letter stands for something true.
These are what they mean to me,
the Red, White and the Blue.
