The second presidential debate 2012 between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama took place on October 16, 2012 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. It was in a “townhall” format, moderated by Candy Crowley. The economy continued to be the dominate issue in this debate, as it was in the first.
