Both parties mutually asked the court to dismiss the suit.

Former Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre has settled her suit with Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz, claiming her sexual abuse accusation against him was a mistake.

Giuffre had accused Dershowitz of being among the men whom Epstein had given her for sexual purposes, which he in turn denied, per Bloomberg.

She further acknowledged that it may have been a case of mistaken identity, saying in a joint statement with Dershowitz that, “I now recognize I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz.”

Giuffre added that she was “very young at the time” of the incident and was in a “very stressful and traumatic environment.”

Both parties mutually asked the court to dismiss the suit. Dershowitz was gracious about the matter, saying he hoped she was able to recover from her abuse.

“I know that she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein and I know that she was not abused by me,โ€ Dershowitz said of Giuffre. “And she now recognizes that. I wish her well going forward and I hope she recovers from the abuse.”

The settlement follows Epstein’s suicide while in prison and his former madam, Ghislaine Maxwell’s sentencing in June of this year. Maxwell, aย longtime enablerย of Epstein’s abusive behavior toward minors, received 20 years in prison.
