Choose Our Own Kitchen Stoves (COOKS) is a 501 (c)4 non-profit organization. Our Mission at Hands Off My Stove (a project of COOKS) is to preserve our right to choose to cook our meals any way we want without government interference.
We are defending the rights of cooks and homeowners from the elitist policy makers and politicians who think they have the right to tell you how to make dinner. 
We are pushing back against the climate activists who believe global warming happens because you made pasta last night.

Why This Matters
Gas stoves, ovens, and other appliances offer unique benefits in terms of energy efficiency, cooking performance, heating, and affordability. Despite these benefits, unelected pencil pushers are trying to take these appliances away. This is unacceptable, and we are committed to ensuring these appliances remain a viable option for consumers.
Through education, advocacy, and grassroots organizing, we seek to empower Americans to make informed choices about their kitchen appliances and to fight against overreaching regulations or policies that threaten their ability to use gas appliances.
A vibrant and diverse market for kitchen appliances is essential to ensuring all consumers have access to the tools they want to cook healthy, delicious meals for themselves and their families.

Hands off my Stove Will:
- Oppose any regulations or policies that would prohibit or restrict the use of traditional gas appliances in homes and commercial kitchens.
- Promote the development of affordable, efficient, and environmentally friendly gas appliances and work with manufacturers and distributors to ensure these products are widely available to consumers.
- Work with local and state governments to ensure the availability of gas infrastructure for all citizens.
- Ensure a level playing field for all kitchen appliance types.
- Advocate for consumer choice in the kitchen appliance market, and work to protect the rights of consumers to choose the appliances that best meet their needs and preferences.
- Promote education and training programs for consumers, installers, and service professionals to improve awareness of the benefits and safe use of gas appliances.

Don’t believe them. The national movement to ban gas appliances is already underway. Dark-money leftist environmental groups and elitist elected officials are going to kick in our front doors and seat themselves at the very epicenter of our family life – right in our own kitchen. If successful they will be able to start dictating every other aspect of our lives; right down to how we prepare our meals, do our laundry, and heat our homes. This is a grotesque invasion of personal privacy. It is where we draw the line.
